We had the good fortune of connecting with Nyalima Mustapha and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nyalima, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind the success of Grind By Faith Promotions is being consistent with a strong team. We believe being consistent helps us stay relevant and on our toes because it creates an environment to where we are constantly brainstorming on creative ways to improve as a brand. As stated in our name, we work through faith, and working with a team that has the same values as you, makes remaining consistent an obtainable goal.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Grind By Faith is different from other brands, especially other promotion companies because we put artist needs first. We pride ourselves on working closely with each artist to make sure their individual needs/goals are met. The journey was not an easy one and came with a lot of trial and error situations, but we would not change anything because it has helped us learn and develop our brand. There are a lot of lessons that we’ve learned throughout this past year, but the most important one has been to not get too comfortable, because to evolve certain things need to change, and it can be uncomfortable changing routines.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This is a hard one because there are a lot of fun things to get into in Atlanta! If it was there first time visiting Atlanta, it is only right to visit all the tourist spots. For example, World of Coca-Cola, Georgia Aquarium, High Museum, Botanical Gardens, and the list could go on and on. As far as night-life/lounges, one our favorite spots to visit is Esco Bar on Peter Street and another notable mention is Fin and Feathers on Edgewood.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We want to give a shoutout to all the independent artists that have joined our platform thus far. There are too many to name, but each and every one of the artist that have been to our shows and/or attended our showcases and tours are appreciated because it allowed us to expand our platform.
