We had the good fortune of connecting with Nuvvo Diosa and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nuvvo, why did you pursue a creative career?
My creative brain has always been in the forefront since a kid. I was always very imaginative, lost In my own world, a big dreamer is what they called me. My initial dream was to be an actress, and I ended up transitioning my dream into music. I started out writing poetry and then songs, and eventually ended up rapping for 10 years. Those experiences transformed my understanding of the true possibilities so I knew whatever I really chose to do, I had to be a business creative, I had to be able to balance my creative brain with my business acumen, the business acumen took awhile for me to fully develop because I really do just love creating… but I knew if I balanced and combined the two I would be able to live the lifestyle I have always seen for myself. So here I am doing just that, from songwriting for major artists, to brand & talent management, to creative director/producer to music & film distribution.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Business is a rollercoaster ride that I honestly never intended to get on. I was an employee for the majority of my life but I knew that my dreams would override the lifestyle of the 9-5. I truly hated that lifestyle and never found true purpose or passion in working for a company I have no connection with. So amongst my journey of finding my way I was a rapper for 10 years, under the mentorship of Cotadastreetz and I knew that was also something I wanted to transition out of as I got older however I wanted to stay in the realm of the music industry.. once I committed to finding my niche in the industry I knew it had to speak to my creative & cultural cravings. So I fell under the mentorship of established managers and heavy hitters in the industry such as Carbon One Five (owner of OneFive Mgmt & former A&R of Young Jeezy ) & Jerm (owner of More Life Records) who showed me the ropes of talent management..but I knew I still wanted to be bigger than just that, I knew I still had to find a way to input my creativity. After leaving the Atlanta Hawks, i had to overcome many challenges of janky business so to speak, I met Trae Dungy at one of my lowest points in life and he gave me an opportunity of a lifetime which was film distribution, picking up and distributing black and urban content to the major networks and platforms. Being under Traes mentorship really helped me understand business as a whole and I was able to fully get Money Mornings Empire which is my brand:/talent management agency up and running. The biggest lessons I learned a long the way Is to be resilient and consistent and don’t look for value outside of yourself, instead look for the value inside yourself and you will find all the answers you’re looking for. I spent a lot of time giving my time and energy to projects and concepts outside of myself, and people easily took advantage of that because they knew my value and they knew at that time I didn’t truly know my value, but if I would’ve put all that effort consistently into myself and my brand initially I would most definitely be further along, but I am a strong believer of divine timing and everything truly happens for a reason. Trusting yourself and the process is a major key in business, I was so used to instant gratification being an artist that the lack of that in business seemed to lead me astray and depress me at times…but I totally understand the patience I need to have with myself at this point and since then it’s all been on the up & up!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Top picks for food are any of the following BQE, Mangos, Papadeaux , R Thomas Deluxe Grill Then we can hit up Edgewood or little 5 points for some spots to hang out drink & chill If we’re clubbing we’re hitting up Escobar, Boogalous, and Cru For some Atlanta touring we can hit up Trap Museum, Centennial park, or a Hawks Game

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shout out to the people that supported me before they could even fully understand my vision, when I was experiencing lows they held me up and kept me grounded, when I had nothing to offer them but my resilience I could never repay you all. Thank you! Trae Dungy Natasha Faulkner Janaida Smart Brittney O’Rourke Rece Cota Change Mudra Jerm Carbon One Five & of course my family Mom Dad Tyler & Grammy Thank you All.
