Meet Noelle

We had the good fortune of connecting with Noelle and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Noelle, why did you pursue a creative career?
I decided to pursue a career in the arts because this is what I truly love. Ever since I was a child, I always knew that I wanted to be a singer and I couldn’t imagine not doing music. This career is what makes me happy and fulfilled.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a Classical Crossover singer from Atlanta, GA. Classical Crossover is a musical genre that incorporates elements of opera, Broadway, pop, and religious music. What sets me apart from other artists in this genre is that I am a Black woman and there are not many artists of color in the Classical Crossover world. This has been a challenge because I often feel overlooked or not taken seriously compared with my contemporaries. Success has not come easily. I have to continuously prove myself by maintaining my vocal training, business skills, and knowledge of my artistic field. This has taught me that there are no shortcuts to longterm success. I want the world to know that I am dedicated to my art and that up-and-coming artists should be given a chance.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite place in Atlanta is definitely the Woodruff Arts Center. This incredible space is the home of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the Alliance Theatre, and the High Museum of Art. I have been fortunate to see so many amazing artistic productions here and to enjoy the local talent as well as visiting artists. Another Atlanta attraction that I love is the Georgia Aquarium. It’s so beautiful and relaxing and I love the dolphin show! When it comes to food, The Varsity is super satisfying after a long day of sightseeing.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I always give the glory to God first for my blessings. I also want to recognize my friend and mentor, Mrs. Kiasha Delaney. She is a remarkable entrepreneur, philanthropist, and creative talent who was there for me during my darkest moments. Without her, I wouldn’t have been able to move forward towards my career goals.
