We had the good fortune of connecting with Nichole Jack and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nichole, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The single most important factor is quality. The consistent quality of your product and the consistent quality and level of service provided is what people will remember most and appreciate when it comes to supporting a business.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I consider what happens hear at the Kings Donuts, artistry. It takes a creative mind to come up with some of the concoctions and variations of products that are made. It has taken years to craft a product that people still support. 7 years later. In no way was this journey easy. From lack of staffing, lack of funding, lack of supplies, lack of sleep, workplace injuries (them burns do something to ya!), all of the things I’ve “lacked”, made it possible and necessary for me to keep rolling. Quitting has never been an option. As the company operate now in the time of COVID with limited hours, staffing and supply shortages due to vendor issues, I am still left with so much appreciation. I was closed for many months and now only open on the weekends and yet, they STILL line up outside to support. That is the biggest takeaway of this journey. I have created a product/brand that recognize and love. I am forever grateful.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Wow! This is a hard one. I’m so committed to this journey, I don’t venture out much. But if I did, I would definitely treat them to some “funny@ by supporting one of the comedy shows out on by Maurice Sims of The Atlanta House of Comedy. He brings out some of the best talent around. I love Atlanta and the sporting community so if there is any of the teams playing, it’s a must to take in a game.. no matter the outcome. Great food is always a must. Atlanta is full of frat places to eat, often making it difficult to choose. When all else fails and you don’t know where to go, hit up the AtlantaFoodGuy on social media for a recommendation or Triton Yards for the best Food Truck Line up around.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Every customer that has walked through the doors deserves all the credit. Whether they enjoyed their experience or not (for one reason or another), each visit has only made us better. It has taught us to seek improvement when needed and to keep going out of the sheer love for those who appreciate what we do! There are not enough words to show appreciation to my family (immediate & extended) for the level of support they have given me on this journey. From taking off from their own jobs to help when needed, hopping on planes and driving miles to come help when needed, to merely being a listening earn when needed. Their love and support is unmatched.. To those that took a leap of faith and believed in me to make this dough thing work… Linda, Angela, John D., , Green Oil, thank you. To those who didn’t : THANK YOU for the constant motivation.
