We had the good fortune of connecting with Mylira Green and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mylira, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success is God. When I started my business six years ago, you could not have told me that I would be living the life of a full-time entrepreneur doing everything I love to do. I did not start my brand with much research, knowledge of my competition, or a business plan to give me direction. I had the desire to grieve the loss of my two children in a healthier way by celebrating the life God blessed me with, my rainbow daughter, Adoniyah.

During this time, I was granted the opportunity to attend a Life and Career Coaching Certification Program, and to graduate from the program entirely, I was encouraged to start a business. This push birthed M. Green Enterprises, where we provided preventative services to lower the rate of suicide worldwide. It began as a hobby where I would speak pro bono at community events. Still, now I can serve the world as a psychotherapist, confidence coach, master healer, and transformative speaker. It has indeed been all God.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a proud Certified Complex Trauma Professional functioning as a Licensed Clinical Social Work who serves as a psychotherapist, Confidence Coach, Master Healer, and Transformative Speaker. I strive to provide the world with preventative services to lower the rate of suicidality worldwide.

I founded M. Green Enterprises, LLC, where I heal leaders to build a better workplace. My goal is to provide training and consultation to businesses looking to revive the lives of their employees by taking an interest in their holistic health.

I have also recently birthed The Metamorphosis Healing Experience, LLC. I work with individuals to become unstuck and motivated to reach their goals while owning their gifts confidently. I do this by providing person-centered services assisting people with thriving beyond the triggers that proceed post their life’s traumas.

As a social work alum of Norfolk State University and the University of Southern California and a present student at Regent University’s Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership program and Virginia Bible College’s ICF coaching program, I bring nine years of experience assisting individuals addressing their mental and emotional health.

I have experience working in Foster Care, Community Direct Support, Corrections, Substance Abuse, Youth Experiencing Psychosis, Youth with Severe Depression Dealing with Suicidal Ideations, Women with Women’s Issues (i.e., infant loss and death and sexual abuse and assault), Couples having Marital Problems, and Military Personnel and their families who struggle with trauma-related issues. I am currently working on my certification for Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I am certified as a full clinician to conduct the Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach and Community Reinforcement Approach for treating substance use disorders. I am passionate about serving as the bridge between the caterpillar and the butterfly for all I serve. I obtained my license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia on April 15, 2019, and completed my requirements to be an approved state board supervisor on April 23 and 24, 2021. I have self-published two books entitled, “The Art of Just Being Me: An Interactive Guide to Finding the Courage to Just Be You” and “Free Thyself: A Guide of Healing for Survivors of Sexual Abuse and Assault” and participated in the Speak Out Survivor and Why My Mom Anthologies.

I am currently focused on providing consultation to start-up and growing mental health facilities to create a solid foundation resulting in a transformation in the lives of those they serve, coaching sessions to create a safe environment encouraging brilliant minds who struggle to fit in to reach their highest level of self-esteem, conducting healing sessions to help people of God become more focused while stepping into their purpose, engaging couples in in-depth conversations to gain the confidence needed to make it last forever, and facilitating training/keynote speeches on the role of trauma and mental health in our society to promote professionalism and the importance of self-care in our daily lives and the workplace.

You can find me on the Michael Coylar Morning Show for his Friday Relationship Segment, my Transforming with Mylira Youtube Channel and the Mogul TV Global Network. My ultimate goal is to strive to close the gap between someone’s current reality and where they ultimately desire to be in her lifetime.

My journey to becoming an expert in the mental health field was not easy at all. I became an advocate of one’s mental wellness because no one served as an advocate of mine. I know what it feels like if death is better than life. I had to push through my challenges and research the vary thing that would not just help me heal, but create an opportunity for me to heal myself. I want the world to know that my brand was created to save other men and women from taking their life, just as God send my biological Father to save me the night I was going to take mine. My brand is unique for I don’t just use my expertise, but the lessons that I learned when I was faced with the difficult decision to keep pressing on. When I die I desire suicide to die with me.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my besties, Sheridan and Amber, decided to have the best time of their lives in the Hampton Roads Area of Virginia, I would start with a Saturday Morning Rise Yoga with Tasha Mack to help us become present to the beauty of the day. I would then take them to a local First Watch for fresh breakfast cuisine. I would then take them to receive a full body massage at A Touch of Glory Massage Services by Edward Smith because every time one has an Ed experience, they feel tapped into themselves and the Creator. We would then take a break and get a nap, for none of us are young spring chickens anymore, lol. We would end our night listening to fantastic music by RaJazz and dance the night away.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Today I dedicate my shoutout to four of my deceased grandmothers. My maternal great-grandmother Rosa Mae Sabb was my family’s matriarch; she put God first if she did not do anything else. Her ability to trust the still inner voice in her was always commendable. She lived by the scripture, faith the size of a mustard seed. She may not have had everything the world told her she needed, but she had everything God blessed her with each season. Her ability to trust God has shaped my desire to trust Him with all I do. My maternal grandmother, Betty Ann Futrell, has also served as a pillar of inspiration for me. She showed me what it looked like to be content with the blessings God gave me. Her ability to navigate life and be present in her grandchildren’s lives gives me the push I need to keep going while praying until something happens. This resilience I learned from my grandmother has supported my business flourishing.

My paternal great-grandmother, Irie Childs, was a trailblazer in the fashion world. As a world-renowned seamstress who believed that God’s word served as the thread that keeps people’s lives together, she showed up in the lives of many as a change agent. My desire to help God’s children was birthed from her. Since her passing, I learned that much of her is me, and I am honored to continue to live out her legacy. My last grandmother figure to that I attribute my success is my grandmother Frances. Her ability to heal others through ancient healing practices has allowed me to embrace my healer side. As a Christian interested in healing practices, I often have felt out of place. But my grandmother’s life has reinforced that it is a generational gift destined to heal many.

Each of my grandmothers is apart of me, and I’m honored to continue their legacies. Because they were, I am, and for that, I am forever grateful.
