We had the good fortune of connecting with Miss Kalece and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Miss, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I was born in Connecticut but raised in GA. Being in music videos and movies since I was eight, and watching and observing the leads, made me want to push harder to become a triple threat.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started my acting journey as a background actor (6) and quickly realized how much I enjoyed it. Although my mother submitted my information to various talent agencies, I faced rejection from a few of them. Fortunately, Ms. Shay Mack started coaching me, and I eventually got signed to Evolution Talent Agency. I am dedicated and hardworking, and I always give it my all. I want the world to know that regardless of the rejections you may face, you should never give up on your craft. Eventually, someone will give you a chance, and when they do, show them that you are a star.

Also, with music, my big brother and I started rapping together. He purchased the equipment, and I fell in love with rapping and singing. Together, we created about 8 songs, and I wanted to continue pursuing this passion.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I want to have a lot of fun because I’m 13. We’ll go to Malibu Norcross to ride the go-carts and then eat at Red Lobster, where I love their biscuits. We’ll also go skating at Skate a Long in Lilburn, do some indoor rock climbing, visit Six Flags Water Park, Lillian Webb Park, and stop by the Cheesecake Factory. We will also climb Stone Mountain Park and eat some cake at a Piece of Cake.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
