We had the good fortune of connecting with Miranda Hassen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Miranda, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
For as long as I can remember, I’ve enjoyed reading, writing, painting, and other creative hobbies. I’ve always been a believer in getting paid to do the work you love so it’ll never feel like work. After spending part of my early 20s working in retail, fast food, and closed office environments, I knew I was going to lack the stimulation I needed to be happy and fulfilled in this life. Now I get to spend my working hours writing, researching, designing social media graphics, and implementing marketing strategy, and I couldn’t be happier!

What should our readers know about your business?
I started picking up freelance work five years ago (time flies!). The freelance world caught my intrigue initially because it was an opportunity to meet new people who were so different from me. They all had established businesses with different lifestyles and worldviews. Owning a business and working for yourself really opens your eyes to the possibilities for achieving success. In 5 years, I went from balancing a part-time job with freelancing and trying to pay off my debts, to moving three states away for a fresh start. I worked as a nanny and briefly drove for Lyft and worked as an extra on a few TV sets before my business grew to full-time work. Honestly, the best way to overcome challenges is to just take things one day at a time and believe that every issue is temporary. Everything always works out. I’ve learned that it’s best to niche down and get crystal clear on what you offer. Last year, I laid out the groundwork to be known as the Pinterest and SEO girl.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take a tour of every brewery in the area to determine who has the craft beer and the best environment to hang out in! Then we would hike some of the best trails, Stone Mountain being one of my favorites.
