We had the good fortune of connecting with Milatto Wasson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Milatto, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When I started Bossties Womens Business Sorority the goal was to create a support system/ sisterhood for women in business or interested in starting a business to collab, build and make genuine connections.. Exchanging knowledge and resources.. Growing personally, mentally and financially together.. We have a Facebook group “Bossties (Boss Besties) with over 2k women in it mostly based out of Atlanta. We have monthly meet ups like brunch, networking events, pop up shops, luxury picnics, tea parties and more unique events.. We have a book club, nature club, prayer circle and daily Facebook activities for the women in the group to engage in.. We offer master classes, free webinars, ebooks and more on topics like starting a Airbnb business , vending machine business, grant writing, marketing, branding and more..

So to answer ur question in short terms my thought process was to build a community where women can find their tribe, their support system, their Boss Bestie (Bosstie).

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
Work Ethic, I honestly feel like that’s 1 of the biggest things that set me apart from others.

Wow that’s a hard one cuz I’m always so proud of my self lol my mood has been “Cheers” because I been celebrating big and small wins, but if I had to choose one I’d say me moving to Atlanta.. I was 26 and never even been to Ga before.. I had no family or friends here I just up and moved from Las Vegas, Nv with just two suitcases and 4K .. I moved into a weekly for 7 days, transferred my job, purchased a car here then found an apartment.. Day 7 I was moving into my place.. THAT was major for me.. A year later I decided to create The Tea Talk Show which had a live band, live audience, celebrity guest, live entertainment from local Atlanta poets, comedians and singers. I had that show for 4 in a half years the COVID19 lol boooyyyy was I relieved honestly.. I had been keeping up with myself for 4yrs but started to get anxiety about continue to book celebrity guest, finding singers, locations to film the show, videographers etc I felt God was giving me the opportunity to bow out gracefully.. Crown still attached, so I took it and focused on Digital/Virtual businesses of my brand that I started in 2019 but Covid 2020 gave me the chance to just really fail in on it.. I’m grateful for the experience.. I’m grateful for Atlanta

The biggest lesson I learned along the way was “Delegate” build a team and allow them to do what their great at.. Everyone won’t see your vision the way u do but make sure they see their position and can execute just that!! & Don’t be afraid to leave your hometown or to move somewhere you know no one.. That could be the best decision you make in life.. it won’t be easy, you will be home sick but that too will pass and u can truly find yourself and what makes you you, what makes u tick, smile, love, laugh, etc and when u figure that out u now know how to teach ppl to treat you.. Use ur 20’s to find yourself & use ur 30’s to dominate.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I looooovvvveeee a good rooftop lol & I’m a foodie so that would be one.. I’m a live band r&b type vibe so we would go somewhere that was a vibe but honestly I’m not gonna lie.. I create the vibes I wanna be in.. So I create brunches, live band events, r&b nights, karaoke, comedy night and more so with that being said I’d definitely make sure that week they were gonna be in town we had a dope Bossties (Boss Besties) event!!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Definitely, My spouse and my community Bossties (Boss Besties).
