We had the good fortune of connecting with Media Prince and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Media, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
Understanding that failures and mistakes happen and they do not deter your success however enhance it. The decision to keep going regardless of setbacks is the most important decision I made that contributed to my success. People tie success to tangible things but its the mental and emotional factors that gear your success, shifting my mind and spirit and understanding my lessons are the epitome of success, if I did not make that decision, The Media Prince and all entities that come with the brand would have never existed.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art in itself is to inspire and motivate. My creative being is to produce art that moves you, motivates you, inspires you, empowers you, and informs you. My art came in the form of media but its guided me to truest form of art which is instilling that fire that resides in me, in others. As a creative often times we take on the world in our own expressions and sometimes the art of what we do can be distorted and I believe that is the hard part, keeping your art authentic to yourself and making sure the message still gets through in its purest form. Media is my art and I have been able to share that with the world and even greater I have been able to pour into others with this art and hopefully allow them to see they can do any and everything as did I, the road is not easy and the light you try to shine will always have to face darkness but its in those moments when your light shines like it never did before. What I want the world to know about my brand when its all said and done is a that the brand is purveyor of inspiration, a positive outlet in media, a heavy contributor in putting the DMV arena on the map, its a brand of dignity, accountability and love, a brand that is not perfect but forgives itself and others and a overall beacon of pushing people to know what their fullest potential is. Its a hard road but God did not build me weak.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am all for the turn up and Atlanta is it when it comes to a turn up, some of my favorite spots to let my hair down are TEN ATL, Josephine Lounge, & Rose Bar. For food because ATL is all about the food, then we have to eat as follow; Twisted Soul Cookhouse & Pours, Old Lady Gang, Milk & Honey, China Dragon, & Big Daves Cheesesteaks make you want to slap your momma (please dont tho we want you to see 2022 lol) And late night action Magic City but thats my business lol
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There is a series of people that I dedicated my success and well being to and that first goes to my mom and family who are my first support system and keeping my grounded and remembering what I am doing this for and who I am, which is a man of GOD. I also shoutout my Publicist JUST1PR as well as my pool of best friends who keep me energized, rejuvenated and motivated to keep on pushing and keep on moving, what is meant for us is ours and no man or woman can take what has our name on. It.
