Meet Marie Roy Paulic | Coach & EFT Tapping practitionner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Marie Roy Paulic and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Marie, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Upon arriving in Atlanta, I saw it as the perfect moment to embark on a new professional journey. After spending 15 years as a high school teacher, I felt a strong desire to support young people and their families facing challenges. I knew that in order to truly make a difference and offer effective therapeutic coaching, I needed the freedom to act independently. Starting my own business became a calling to pursue something new. I’ve always thrived on challenges, and this journey has certainly given me plenty of them !

What should our readers know about your business?
I initially followed a conventional path, choosing to become a teacher—a stable and low-risk profession in France. However, as I watched my children grow and saw my students navigating an increasingly competitive and challenging world, my desire to pursue something beyond teaching began to grow.
I only discovered later in life that I had the freedom to be creative and truly shape my own path!
I believe that risk-taking is an essential part of achieving great results—without taking risks, there are no big rewards. Ten years ago, my husband and I made a major leap by leaving our established life in Paris with two young children, aged 2 and 4, in tow. I’ve always been eager to step outside my comfort zone, challenge myself to learn new things, and seek out new experiences. Finding balance is tough, but I think it comes when we feel enriched by the effort we put in, the lessons (and mistakes) we learn, and the ways we grow. When we feel ourselves becoming better, opening up to others, developing new skills, and seeing those around us do the same, we realize that risk is not something to fear—it’s an opportunity for growth and learning.
Confidence helped me to overcome the challenges: confidence in myself, in my abilities, and in my capacity to bounce back, adapt, and create. Above all, I’ve learned not to let others define my worth.
My work is built on listening, empathy, and accepting others for who they are. The core of my work is helping young people (and those not so young) recognize their own value and empower them to craft a career and a life that truly resonates with them.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I decided to settle in Atlanta because of the warmth and kindness that are so characteristic of the people here in the South. What I love most is taking walks through the forest, surrounded by towering trees. The areas around the Chattahoochee River are by far my favorite spots.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Elizabeth Gilbert, who wrote Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear.
Her inspiring words helped me reconnect with the creative part of myself that I had long buried. This book addresses the fears that often block our creativity—like the fear of judgment and the fear of failure—and encourages us to take action, even when we’re afraid. Because courage isn’t about the absence of fear; it’s about moving forward, even with fear in tow!
My teenage children and my husband who support me every day by surrounding me with their love and their faith in me.
