We had the good fortune of connecting with Made By Chubb and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Made By Chubb, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I got to a point in my life where I wanted more. I couldn’t see myself working for anyone else. The fact of someone telling me what to do everyday got old to me and it was time to for me to JUMP step out on faith. I was ready to showcase my creativity to the world. Also I wanted to show what freedom looked like to my kids. I not only did it for them but I did for me, Entrepreneurship means leaving a legacy for my kids. I couldn’t leave my 9-5 to them but I can leave them financial freedom.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
If you know anything about being a creative you know we think and see things differently. As a serial entrepreneur I run several successful businesses. But what I am most excited about are NFTS. NFTS actually brings out my creative side, it’s almost as if I’ve been preparing for this my entire life. This was defiantly a journey of ups and downs. A lot of risk were made before I got to this point and no it was not easy. Self doubt defiantly weighted me down. And that’s why my biggest lesson was to believe in myself, because no one is going to believe in you the way you believe in yourself. Once you realize you have control over your life anything is possible.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
lol I am actually introvert believe it or not but stone mountain is defiantly a must see its my peaceful place. When it comes to food Slutty vegan is hands down the spot to visit. Its a whole experience and not to mention the food is amazing. You can’t come to Atlanta without experiencing the strip clubs and the nightlife.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I actually want to shoutout the city of Atlanta. This was the first place I’ve seen black excellence. Living here has played a tremendous part in my success. It showed me that you can make it coming from anywhere.
