We had the good fortune of connecting with LoveJoi Bowles and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi LoveJoi, what makes you happy? Why?
Happiness is one of my primary life goals. Whether it is with my family, my career, with my friends, or in relationships, happiness is the core of what makes me LoveJoi. My happiness rests on several factors. The first is how healthy and balanced my life is. I strive to be mentally, spiritually, and physically well. Secondly, my happiness trives off of how secure I am financially. Last but not least, my happiness is contingent upon how happy I can make those around me and in my circle.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started my career as a singer and socialite as long as I can remember. I have been in music and entertainment, whether it was in plays or singing and writing songs, since I was in elementary school. This journey has been very hard. It has come along with a lot of sacrifice, lessons learned, and obstacles that I have had to overcome. I have cried many tears and had so many triumphs. I would say the one thing that has kept me in this race is my hard work and dedication, along with my devotion to consistently being my biggest cheerleader, no matter how hard some days are. I want the world to know that having me here is one of the best things the music industry can have. Though I am finally building my story more and more, what I have to offer and bring to the table musically and socially is amazing.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
This is such a fitting question. All of my friends say that I should bottle up my social scene energy and sell it to the world. Lol. What they mean is that a day/night with LoveJoi is one that you will never forget. Let’s just say it was a Sunday. First, we are most definitely going to church to thank GOD for the week before and pray our way into the week ahead. After church, we will head home to get changed and then try to go see a few open houses. Then we will head to one of my favorite restaurants, Del Bar Buckhead. After that, we are going to slide over to Whisky Mistress for their Flip Flop Sunday Funday, and after that, we will go to their neighboring restaurant/lounge, MCK, for the remainder of the night. After that, we may stop by Landmark Diner or Ginos if they are open. Now, if it is a week-long trip, we will visit several places, from Chateau Elan to Magic City. West
Side Motor Lounge, Midtown Social Restaurant, and SM44. We will go listen to live music at Block & Drum and Backstage. We will also visit a professional sporting event and several red carpet appearances. Then we would definitely have to support a few political events as well. Finally, visiting a few hookah lounges and eating some amazing food at places like Poor Calvins, Tiki Thai, and Pera. The lists can go on and on.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Firstly, I must acknowledge the one and only person who gives life to me and is the reason I live. This person is none other than my beautiful daughter, Paris Jae. I can remember holding her as an infant, and making a promise to her that I would live my life for her, and do all I could to be successful, give her a good life, and always make her proud. I must also acknowledge my Mother, and all of my friends and family who have encouraged me throughout these years. At this stage in my life, I owe a lot of how I have evolved into this new chapter in my life to Lydia Pierre, The Corporate Socialite. Lydia made it her business to help develop me as a socialite in this new city and has worked with me to curate a brand for myself that would put me in place for success in the social, entertainment, and political settings of Atlanta.
