We had the good fortune of connecting with Louis Buralda and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Louis, how do you think about risk?
Risks actually give my life volume. I’ve never stood out or received outstanding results by playing it safe. Risk taking and unorthodox methods in my decision making are the cause of my most successful moments in my career.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As an artist I create both music and illustration. Both are a separate entity that I combine from time to time. My music is heavily saturated with word play and a rhythm that can coast any instrumental. My music covers my personal life, Love, and pain. My streams had increased drastically this year because my music is on multiple platforms catered to monetizing. With my art I was able to develop a business that provides the service of creating customized portraits, character development, stickers and etc. I began creating time lapse art and those videos began to grow viral as well as my clientele. A major challenge is prioritizing each clients piece and getting the work to that client in a timely manner. In this field it’s important that you still provide quality work. Your art is a representation of you.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am the biggest homebody ever! But if I were to show my best friend around I’d take him to my favorite restaurant which is Sage WoodFire Tavern in Perimeter. Second is the rooftop of Ponce City Market. I like to drink my glass of wine while drawing and looking at the view. The third place I would go to is little five points. And the remainder of our time would be spent doing the most low key chill activity. Welcome to the 30+ club (I’m 28 years of age but still lol). Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Yes my cousin Drew Graham (Dizzyd718). He is one of the most talented and skilled creatives I know from his dance to his Photography. He deserves the upmost recognition.
