We had the good fortune of connecting with Latasha Warren and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Latasha, the decisions we make often shape our story in profound ways. What was one of the most difficult decisions you’ve had to make?
Being raised in Kankakee Illinois I moved to Memphis TN at the age of 20. I raised my family in Memphis TN. The most difficult decision was walking away from the life I built for over 20 years in Memphis. I was living life as a wife, mother, career woman, active Minister behind the walls of the church, a successful career in Healthcare leadership, cars and money. I had a life many would love to have but there was one thing missing. My happiness was not there. I was not being the complete woman I was. I was dead on the inside, not truly being who I was. I was being smothered to make my then husband happy and lost myself. After much consideration I decided to walk away from my marriage leaving everything behind. I left with my clothes, business items & one car. I shit down my boutique & restructured the entire business. I continued making custom shirts, and custom pieces such as wine glasses. I started making whipped body butter & soaps. I started a career in entertainment as a Stand up comedian with the goals of being an actress and ultimately a film maker. I moved to Georgia when I was not financially ready. I left home at the age of 20 with nearly 20 thousand dollars in the late 90’s but only around 3k post COVID with everything inflated. It’s been very tough but so many doors opened up in such a short time so the decision is paying off. I just continue to be available for every great opportunity.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have been blessed with many gifts & talents. I believe the ‘Grave’ is my limit. I suppressed myself for years to live a life I was not happy in for what I thought was love. It is not easy, in fact this has been the hardest season of my life. I believe in being honest about my journey to encourage others. I work constantly yet I have never been this low financially. I do not want anyone to think this is easy out here. I have been homeless yet I still keep going with a smile because I know the Most High is with me. When I am posting on social media and out doing my work I make it look good but there’s so many times I was mentally, physically and spiritually low & ready to throw in the towel on life. I am an author of three books, I host a tv video countdown show. My actual brand and company is Queen TBC Enterprise. I do not believe in placing myself in a box, limiting myself. I have my own Talk Show Real Talk With Boss Chic on 2 networks. I do media with Real Talk with Boss Chic. I am an actress. I am co writing, directing and acting in a film with Javaa Productions, special thanks to Vanessa Bass and Blacc. I am building my cleaning company that offers home and commercial cleaning. I have finished my first documentary short film bringing awareness to suicide and mental health. It’s currently being edited a release date to be announced soon.
I accept my journey and growth building lessons that comes with it. I am a firm believer that “if anything is worth having, it’s worth fighting for.” My life, success and destiny that was created just for me is worth fighting for therefore, I fight to keep going each day!
I am most proud of myself because I refuse to give up. I do not worry about what others think is crazy because no one should know what myself and my creator discuss about me and my assignments & destiny. Knowing that each and everyone is different and have our own individual assignments from The Most High I work to keep Him pleased while doing my part to help the people I have been assigned to help on this side of life. I stay true to myself, even in this tough industry of entertainment. I keep my integrity and self respect as top priority. I have lived a long life and not new to living just new to entertainment will not sell my soul to the devil for fame. I will not defile my body to get ahead.
When I do things that some are afraid to do because of the mindset that there is a certain age to do what I do. Telling me what I can’t do only fuels me to go harder not to prove anything to anyone accept myself. I left my family back in Memphis and that is tough but I to do it. I miss them greatly but I raised my children and now I must do what I need to do what’s best for me. I live each day as if I am in a war zone keeping my mind on the war as a soldier fighting so that I survive and get to the financial status to take care of my family and do the works for God’s people I am assigned to. If I focus too much on them, I’ll mess up greatly and it will all be for nothing. I learned that mentality from a veteran when I was on the board for We Honor Our Vets program when I was a manager in Hospice back in Memphis. That mentality keeps me focused on what I am here doing while being away from my children and Grandchildren.
I want the world to know through my life’s journey there’s nothing impossible if you just keep pressing forward. You must keep your faith, stay humble & positive while being in beast mode in your work ethics. Do not think anything is owed to you. You are the one that owes you everything! Know that everyone that helps and support you is a blessing not an entitlement.
I am a “One Woman” show that does so many different things and will not limit myself ever again in life. Although I do many different things in entertainment I give my best in everything.
I fully believe in a healthier future for our community. As an Anointed spiritual black Queen, I believe in empowering myself and others. I know my power within comes from operating in my true Divine spirit of the Most High Father in Heaven. I know the universe only gives back what I put out into it.
I support everyone but I do have a special drive to do my part to help build up the black community to unify and be the powerful, successful Kings and Queens we were created to be! That’s what sets me apart.
