We had the good fortune of connecting with Kyra Sanders and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kyra, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I did not choose the artistic life, it chose me. Established in 1997, I was learning the power of frequencies from music since the womb. My father introduced me to a life of art and freedom in doing what you love and making a living out of it. My dad Kyle Sanders, bassist of HellYeah, is probably one of the best bass players in the world. Along with his brother Troy Sanders, of mastodon, I think everyone can agree they’ve paved their way and made a name for my family and rock & roll. The persistence, dedication, passion and love for music has been driving my family for so many years, it inspired me to follow the same path. Confused about life and my career, I was struggling at a very young age. My spiritualism and divine energy drives me to push my purpose and work on my skills daily. I’m currently getting back to my roots, exploring new frequencies and sounds to create my own avenue. I will release amazing content and versatile music for every supporter I have and continue to make. My advice to any artist is never give up on your creative passion & always take the risks with a leap of faith. You will grow tremendously outside of your comfort zone everytime.

Please tell us more about your art. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
My art is a reflection of my soul. This industry is very cutthroat, so I’ve definitely been observant & learning quick. The path I’ve chosen takes a little longer than most, but I’ve accepted the challenge. The best lesson I’ve learned so far is love yourself and give yourself all your energy. Invest in to yourself, and practice your craft. 10,000 hours of anything & your a pro. I’m still young and learning. But I intended to shed my light & wisdom with the world as I go. Hungry for knowledge, I will continue to feed my lyricism & flow with diverse energies in my music. I hope to build more amazing supporters as I go and give back as much as possible to my city & my people.
New TRVP music & merchandise coming soon.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Haaaaaa it’s lit! I’ve lived on every side of my city, so I know there’s many places to go out on the daily. But a week long trip? I’d say we most definitely gotta hit six flags or the aquarium during the day. At night there’s too many clubs and bars to choose from but usually we’ll end up catching vibes in buckhead or Edgewood, especially on the weekends. There’s so much good food but my thing is most definitely chicken wings, so you 100% must get lemon pepper wings wet, preferable goodfellas if it’s after midnight. There’s always good food and creativity all throughout the city. I enjoy manifesting & absorbing all the Atlanta energy, I swear there’s no place like my city ♾
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to thank God for protecting me. My spirits for guiding me. My family & friends for feeding and supporting me. & I thank my whole team for pushing me harder than ever.
