Meet Kree | KreeTV: Content Creator and YouTuber
We had the good fortune of connecting with Kree and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kree, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Creativity has always been my niche, but being a Youtuber is definitely my biggest challenge! What made me want to be a content creator was my passion for travel and experience. After graduating college with my bachelors, I was focused on creating a lifestyle for myself. I joined the workforce and I knew that this was not my calling because I just wanted to travel! When I received my first check, I went to Hawaii. It was my first time traveling out of the country as an adult. I experienced so many things there and when I returned, the only memories I had were quick clips from social media. All of my friends would ask me, “what did you do” and “you didn’t make any videos?” That made me so sad because the answer was always, “well this is not much, but I have these.” The next year, I went to Dubai and it was the same thing. I had no real memories to show! That’s when I knew, I needed to start recording my memories and sharing them with my people. They were so interested in where I was going, what I was eating, and my experiences overall, it was so fulfilling! So, I started vlogging my experiences and its been the most amazing choice I have ever made!
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What makes my content unique is that I am able to appeal to many audiences at the same time. Although traveling and experiences are my focus, fashion is a must have for me! I enjoy adding a sprinkle of beauty to every experience. When it comes to my brand overall, I am most proud because it forces me to stay consistent and focused on my craft. The content I present takes time and energy to execute. The position I am in today, was not easily obtained, I have to put in handwork daily to ensure that my brand is progressing each and every day. One way I overcome these challenges is I don’t quit. When I am editing a video, sometimes it takes me three hours to be able to sit back and enjoy just the beginning of that video. Yes, I get discouraged, but what keeps me focused is knowing that people are going to watch this video and feel a connection between my experiences in relation to their own. One thing I want the world to know about the stories I tell through my content is that although we come from various backgrounds and cultures, we are alike in more ways than we know!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
In Atlanta, there are quite a few attractions you must visit! We have Ponce City Market, Atlantic Station, The Battery, and many more attractions. These places have various things you can do such as: eat, drink, shop, play games, etc. If you are looking for more so fun attractions, we have: The Aquarium, Botanical Gardens, Trap Museum, Zoo Atlanta, etc. All of these attractions are ones you should definitely look into when planning a trip to the city! Now, if you want nightclub attractions, I would highly recommend: CRU Lounge, Edgewood, Cirque Daiquiri Factory, and Suite Lounge for sure. Of course there are plenty more, but these are ones that I recommend.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My brand is family oriented! But we are not your average family. My support system is a mix of not only blood relatives, but friendships dating back as far as 10 years, in addition to newly established relationships. I rely on these individuals for ideas, feedback, and overall support to say the least. I will never be able to pay them what they are worth, but I will spend years creating a platform to ensure we all are successful!
