We had the good fortune of connecting with Ka’rrē and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ka’rrē, how do you think about risk?
I think risk is such a vital part of your life and career but, can also be detrimental. It all comes down to trusting yourself and having a genuine connection with yourself and God. If your just out here taking risks for looks (attention) and doing it because others are telling you too is not good risks. You have follow your own path, listen to your inner voice, and trust it. And that has made a serious impact on my career and life.
Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
Great question! I got here by faith and trust. Of course it hasn’t been easy but, I appreciate the growth and success of it all big or small. I had to overcome my fears and be more confident within myself and JUST DO IT! I had to stop being scared and do it! And be me! And that’s what I did and what I’m doing. I’m getting ready to release my EP which I’m super excited for. I learned that my path is my path and my timing is coming very soon and I don’t need to rush. I believe in divine timing and manifestation.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting then I would definitely take her to the Atlanta Botanical Garden first, I would take her to Slutty Vegan next but they line be so longggg so probably Herbal Fix, probably hiking the next day at Amicalola Falls State Park (which is one of my favorite place to hike). Then, I would switch it up and do a at home movie night where we just spend time together and chill. And then the last day of her visiting I would take her to Georgia Aquarium and out to go get smoothies at Arden’s Garden.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I absolutely love this shoutout concept! I think there is a couple of people, books, and movements that I want to thank and shoutout. I first want to shoutout Jessica Alexandria who is the creator of Behatilife she has been a positive influence in my life and help me along the way of my journey. Also, the book The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz really helped me along the way and grow. And lastly this movement going on in our community Women supporting Women. I think this has be one of the movements that has impacted me the most for I’ve never experienced women supporting one another (genuinely) I don’t know who the creator is but, whoever made this come to light thank you! Sincerely! I love that and I love to see women supporting each other genuinely no matter how different y’all might be.
