We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordan Gensler and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jordan, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
It’s all about cultivating a relationship with your potential client. There are so many great photographers out there but what set you apart is your passion and your personality. I’m extremely passionate about taking a snapshot of these memories at a point in time that they can treasure forever. You become invested in one of the most important memories of their life so although they start off as a client they end up being your friend afterwords. A lot of my business is focused on referral and reoccurring business. So if they like you then they know you then they’re more likely to keep you as a family photographer. And same thing goes for business. Being organized and having strong communication skills is a vital mindset in his business.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My passion for photography really started about 8 years ago with a trip to the UK. Once my son was born it really took it to the next level for me professionally. I love capturing my family and thought it would be great to do that for others too. What sets me a part from others is the experience you will have with me. I really strive to go above and behind my clients expectations. My goal is always to have the client in mind and review with them their “wants”and “needs”. I do whatever I can to make sure your happy with the photos your looking for. I always try to make my clients feel comfortable and have fun so it shows. This is really important because the photos turn out even better.
Something else that sets me apart is how quickly you will get back your edited photos and the attention to detail. My specialities are: portraits, family/lifestyle, engagement, newborn/baby commercial, food and product photography. I love what I do and I’m extremely passionate to see the joy it brings to people.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Definitely head to Ponce City Market! Great local shops, great food and great people. You can even head to the rooftop for drinks and watch the sunset or take a scooter stroll on the belt line.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Would really like to thank my children for the inspiration to shoot photography. I had always enjoyed architecture and landscape photography, but once I had children my love got deeper as I could trap these moments in time visually for a lifetime. It’s hard to recall a moment, but if you see it those feelings and excitement come rushing in on a whole other level.
