Meet Jessica and David Kallenbach: Head photographer, Make up Artist /Hair Stylist and Artistic director

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica and David Kallenbach and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jessica and David, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I truly believe the most important factor behind the success of Beauty Unveiled Studios is the personal relationships that we have been able to make and maintain with our clients. The clients who connect with us for our services end up quickly becoming friends. We truly value making personal and authentic connections with people as opposed to thinking of clients merely as a business transactional relationship.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
With regard to my art, , I really do endeavor to create truly unique and stylized portraits of individuals that are noticeably different than anything else out there. I want my clients to see themselves in a new and unique way-so I frequently utilize colorful and unique sets, captivating wardrobe and makeup designs, and engaging themes to capture the attention of those who will view the photos. I love to use color as well as incorporating nature based settings as a backdrop for my clients portrait sessions. I am most excited about the opportunity to help my clients to see themselves in a way that they never expected. When a client is rendered speechless and is even (as often happens) brought to tears as a result of seeing themselves as beautiful…I find that to be so very rewarding!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My husband and I are very big on the outdoors and hiking. So we would almost certainly take our guests around to see some of the spectacular outdoor locations around North Georgia. The Blue Ridge Mountains provide stunningly beautiful opportunities for hiking within a naturalistic and peaceful setting with breathtaking views. Within the city of Atlanta and with regards to “food tourism” we are huge fans of ethnic food so we would certainly take our guests to some of our favorite spots with those types of culinary themes. ‘Botiwalla Indian Street Market’ at Ponce City Market is always a wonderful place to grab lunch and our favorite place for a memorable and engaging dinner experience is the Moroccan restaurant “Imperial Fez” on Peachtree St, Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There is a book called “Captivated” by Stasi Eldredge that has as its core message the idea that every woman has a “beauty to unveil”. Which means that God created women to see, believe in and celebrate the beauty that He bestowed upon them when He created them. This book was instrumental in inspiring the whole concept behind my company Beauty Unveiled Studios-that concept being to create an experience for ladies in which they will recognize and live convinced of their God-given beauty within its proper context. Throughout the years, the concept behind Beauty Unveiled Studios has expanded to make room for people to find beauty in the many and varying aspects of their lives (family, weddings, meaningful events and moments, etc). There is beauty all around us, we just need to open our eyes and look around to see it and I truly hope the Beauty Unveiled Studios experience creates for people an opportunity to do just that. None of the vision /love/wild creativity with our business would be possible without the passion we both share daily in our faith in God and His love for people.
