We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeffrey LaPread and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeffrey, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
If you don’t see what you saw, then what you see is temporary. A lot of people do things without having an end goal or a plan, and it doesn’t turn out the way they want it to. When i started my business, I saw it being lucrative. So I invest every chance I get and make changes where I see fit to make my business as successful as possible.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I feel what sets me apart from others, is my creativity of my funnel cakes. I’ve seen them made at theme parks and fairs, but the choices were so limited. I grew up with a professional chef in my family (Mom) lol. Anything I needed to know in the kitchen I learned from her, but I definitely took a different direction. It excites me to see how many people love funnel cakes, and the excitement thats shown when people see the variety of funnel cakes I offer. I got where I am today by just not being scared any more and took a leap of faith. It wasn’t easy at all, because I had a huge amount of fear in me. Fear of no one loving what I have to offer or just my business failing in general, but I overcame that fear by just doing it. I would have failed if I didn’t try. One thing I did learn through all this is that when you have a gift, you don’t waste it. You never know how you can change someone life or inspire someone with your gift.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I dedicate this to the positive individuals God put in my life. There are too many to name, but I thank them every chance I get. I definitely thank my family Shaunice & Freddie for pushing me every day, not giving up on me and believing in me. They saw something in me that I didn’t see in myself, and I will forever be grateful for them.
