Meet Jasper Alford | Creative Consultant & Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasper Alford and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jasper, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting my business as a Creative Consultant/Designer was journey fueled by a deep passion for fashion and a vision to create something unique. Inspired by the diverse styles and trends I observed around me, I immersed myself in the world of design, learning from every stitch, fabric, and silhouette. With limited resources but a lot of creativity, I began crafting pieces that reflected my personal aesthetic and resonated with others. From sketching out ideas on paper to hand making everything into the night, I. transformed my inspiration into tangible creations, slowly building a brand that embodied my love for innovation and individuality.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art stands out for its unique blend of bold creativity and intricate details, setting it apart in a sea of conventional designs. Each piece I create is a testament to my distinctive vision, combining unconventional materials and innovative techniques. The journey of bringing my art to life is both exhilarating and nerve wrecking, with a lot of wins but also a lot of “L’s” that’s not behind YS, haha. Navigating this path has taught me invaluable lessons; I’ve leaned the importance of knowing when to assert my ideas and when to step back, listen, and absorb wisdom from others. this balance has been crucial in overcoming obstacles and continuing to evolve as an artist.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Hopefully I have the days off, haha but I would take my friend to ponce city market rooftop for drinks and games and go walking around for food because I’m vegan. Probably go and visit the High Museum even though I hate museums they’re so big and empty to be full of art. Grab lunch somewhere or walk the belt line. Go to Cascade on a Wednesday night for adult night and skate and drink. Go do some shopping in the city at Little Five Points or something, can grab food and drinks there also. During the weekend most likely just do some clubbing and pregaming the whole time go to El Malo or Rocksteady or see if any Djs in Atlanta is throwing a party and pull up. Sunday if not cascade for adult night most likely go party or sit a home and relax.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want shoutout my family, friends, and all of the wonderful people I’ve worked with over the years that have put me in the position I am in today.
