Hi Jasmine, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Me an my husband both share a passion for cooking and have always wanted to have our own food business. After getting married we both decided to Make our passion come to life! September 11, 2023 Jamerican Fusion LLC was born!! Our business name literally symbolizes who we are!! Starting a business is an iterative process that combines creativity, research, planning, and execution. It requires adaptability, resourcefulness, and persistence to overcome challenges and achieve long-term success. This process requires continuous evaluation and adaptation to improve operations, address challenges, and explore opportunities for growth. Successful business owners demonstrate vision, strategic planning, resilience, and a customer-focused mindset! Starting a business is a challenging yet rewarding journey that combines innovation an hard work! This mindset is essential to overcome challenges and build a sustainable venture.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets us apart from the rest, Is we truly value what we do and that passion shows through our food! We’re both excited about what the future holds for our business and how far we will go!! We look forward to soon getting a food truck and in the future having a restaurant in multiple locations! No business is perfect and we’re learning a lot of new things as we go!! We do run into challenges from time to time, but we learn from them, and it only makes us stronger! We have Learned Not to focus on someone else’s success, because we will have the same success if we continue to push ourselves! We want the world to know that Jamerican Fusion will be one of the top Jamaican/American restaurants in the world!! We take pride in everything we do! We bring the bold, vibrant flavors of Jamaican and American cuisine to your events! Our dishes fuse tradition with creativity, offering a menu that satisfies every palate. Whether you’re planning a wedding, corporate event, or family gathering, we customize each experience to suit your needs. With our focus on fresh ingredients, exceptional service, and unforgettable taste, we ensure your celebration is nothing short of extraordinary. Our menu showcases a mouthwatering selection of dishes, including jerk chicken with smoky spices, tender curry chicken, slow-cooked oxtail, fish soup, and our one-of-a-kind mac & cheese eggrolls, a creative twist on a classic comfort food. Our commitment to quality goes beyond the food. We use fresh, high-quality ingredients and prepare each dish with care and attention to detail. From the aroma of our spices to the vibrant presentation of our dishes, we aim to bring a taste of home and joy to every event.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Atlanta offers a vibrant mix of cultural attractions, dining experiences, and nightlife, making it an ideal destination for visitors. Whether you’re into exploring cultural landmarks or relaxing in a park, this city offers a variety of experiences to make any visit memorable! One of our beautiful parks would be Historic Fourth Ward Park. I have always enjoyed going for a nice walk there and it is also adjacent to the Atlanta beltline, which is also convenient and fun to explore! The BeltLine serves as an outdoor gallery with numerous art installations, murals, sculptures, and other artistic expressions that add to the vibrancy of the area. It’s a great place for those interested in urban art. Along the BeltLine, you’ll also find numerous restaurants, cafes, bars, and shops that line the route. The Atlanta BeltLine is a true reflection of the city’s growth and transformation. It’s more than just a transportation corridor—it’s a place for recreation, community engagement, culture, and exploration. Whether you’re visiting Atlanta for the first time or you’re a local, the BeltLine offers something for everyone and is the best way to experience the city’s diverse neighborhoods, art, food, and people. If you want to get a feel for the city, meet locals, enjoy some good food, and see Atlanta’s creativity in full bloom, walking or biking along the BeltLine is an essential experience. Another great place to visit while in the city is Ponce City Market! Ponce City Market is home to a mix of local boutiques, national retailers, and unique shops. You’ll find fashion, home decor, specialty goods, and more, with many stores reflecting the eclectic, trendy atmosphere of Atlanta. The food there is amazing!
