Meet Jake Anglin | Graphic & Website Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jake Anglin and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jake, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I believe we must define what it truly means to be successful. Success is not necessarily making the most money, scoring the biggest client or account, having the most influence, or any of the things we traditionally think of when it comes to success. None of those things are bad at all, those are very good things. The factor behind my personal success is knowing that my success is not up to me. It is knowing that success is defined by a life lived for a greater purpose and devoting every aspect of life (money, marriage, business, relationships, dreams, etc.) to something that will outlive me. Life truly lived to the fullest, is lived in response to God’s love and His purpose for us. If my business can be successful, it will be because every project, every client, every task is devoted to shining a light on the God who gave me an opportunity to run a business and contribute to His good world around me.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
For nearly two decades, graphic design has been a central part of my work. Helping people through the creative process and serving them is my main goal with every project. I love to learn about their vision, adopt it as my own, and make it a reality. Whether it is something as complex as a website, or as simple as a business card, my passion is to bring their vision to life with a custom design tailored for their brand.
I have spent years in graphic design, full-time vocational ministry, and in the Christian Music industry. During this time, an emphasis on lasting relationships with leaders, pastors, business owners, and artists has built a reputation of trust and professionalism. This reputation is one that I am honored to uphold with every project. The value placed on relationships allows Jake Anglin Design to form lasting business ties that propel brands forward.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I live in Newnan, GA – just south of Atlanta.
So first, we’d take a trip to downtown Newnan to eat at Garlic Thai Cuisine and Sushi Bar. I’d make them try the Rickie Babi Roll. Hands down, the best sushi south of the city. We’d have to take a short walk (or electric scooter ride) around the downtown square to one of the several spots for dessert.
We’d spend a morning running the LINC trail. – A 65 mile network of multipurpose trails built on public rights of way and greenspace, creating a network of paved paths for recreating and socializing in Newnan. The trail system is enjoyed by walkers, runners, skaters, bicyclists and people using non-motorized vehicles.
Next, we’d take a walk through Ashley Park – An outdoor shopping and dining area with large department stores, local businesses, a movie theater, and a well maintained recreation area.
And of course, on Sunday morning, we’d take a short drive to Trilith – A 235-acre European-inspired, master-planned residential and creative community built directly adjacent to Trilith Studios (where many major motion pictures are filmed). We’d start the morning with a gathering at Passion City Church! Me and Courtney love being a part of this church and worshiping in the event venue, Trilith Live. It’s an amazing experience! After church, we’d walk down the street in Trilith to one of our favorite restaurants, Enzo Steakhouse for an amazing meal cooked to perfection.
After lunch, we head to the Battery in Atlanta for an afternoon/evening Braves game at Truist Park! This is probably of Courtney and I’s favorite thing to do in ATL. We love our Braves and supporting the team. Not only do we enjoy the game of baseball, but we love being around the Battery, the stadium, and enjoying all a trip to the ballpark has to offer.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My successes in business and in life in general are all completely because of the influence and love of 2 people:
Courtney, my wife, my love, my best friend, my travel partner, and my “creative consultant” (I run all of my designs by her first to make sure she approves of my font choices).
Jesus Christ, my savior, my teacher, my reason.
Without them, I shutter to think of what my life would look like today. All credit goes to them for any and all sucess I experience in life or business.
