We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaden Newman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jaden, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
From starting at the age of 15 and still going strong at 26, my work-life balance has evolved significantly over the years. In the early days, it was all about juggling school, traveling, and performing.

Now, my responsibilities have expanded to include working a 9-5 job, running my own wrestling school and promotion (TWE Chattanooga), training nights, traveling, performing, and making time for my family.

It can be challenging at times, as I can’t be everywhere at once, but I strive to handle the balance as best as I can. I’m incredibly grateful for the understanding and support of those around me, which makes it all possible.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My journey in professional wrestling has been a mix of passion, perseverance, and constant growth. I started wrestling at the age of 15, inspired by discovering Ring of Honor and the incredible artistry of the independent scene. Over the past 11 years, I’ve traveled the world, learning from masters of the craft and honing my own style, which blends technical precision with raw storytelling. My moniker, “Moral Compass,” reflects my dedication to embodying authenticity and guiding others both inside and outside the ring.

What sets me apart is my willingness to adapt and innovate. Whether it’s working in front of passionate crowds on the indie scene or training the next generation of wrestlers at the TWE Performance Combine, I bring my all. Wrestling isn’t just my career; it’s my legacy. TWE and my in-ring career represent the impact I want to leave on the industry—a testament to hard work, resilience, and the art of storytelling.

Getting here wasn’t easy. The grind of balancing a full-time job, managing a promotion, and maintaining my own career was grueling. I overcame those challenges by leaning on a strong support system, staying open to mentorship, and focusing on constant growth. Lessons like resilience, humility, and the power of self-belief have kept me grounded.

If there’s one thing I want the world to know about my story, it’s this: wrestling isn’t just about what happens in the ring. It’s about connection, storytelling, and inspiring others to chase their dreams, no matter the odds. My brand isn’t just about winning matches; it’s about building something that outlives me. That’s what drives me every single day.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting Chattanooga for a week, we’d definitely hit the trails, catch some live music, and eat at my favorite spots. Rainbow Lake is a must-do hike with amazing views of the river. For breakfast and coffee, Stone Cup is my go-to. I love taking my dog to Play Wash Pint during the day – it’s a cool spot to hang out and let the dog socialize. As for music, we’d check out shows at The Signal or Barrelhouse Ballroom, both have great vibes. For nighttime, we’d grab drinks at places like The Greenhouse by Oddstory Brewing, Boneyard, and Bless Yer Heart. Just a good mix of laid-back places to enjoy the night and soak in the Chattanooga vibe.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shoutout to James Cooper “Kerry Awful”, my wrestling trainer, who taught me everything about being a true professional wrestler and instilled in me the values of hard work and respect for this industry. I also want to dedicate recognition to my grandfather, James “Grandbud” Higdon, the founder of TWE Chattanooga, who has been my biggest supporter and inspiration from the very beginning. A heartfelt thank-you to Dylan Hales and Daniel Wilson—two incredible mentors who have become my closest friends. Their guidance has been instrumental in shaping me into the business-minded individual I am today.

I also want to give a huge shoutout to my students at TWE. Watching their growth and the incredible things they’ve already accomplished fills me with pride. I know they’ll continue to push boundaries and achieve even greater heights, and I’m honored to be part of their journey. Keep making waves—you inspire me every day!

Finally, I want to acknowledge my family, who have stood unwaveringly by my side through every twist and turn of this journey.
