We had the good fortune of connecting with Harrison Cordell Fant and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Harrison, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important lesson my career has taught me so far is the value of adaptability and versatility in an ever-evolving industry. Working across different roles in sports business/marketing/media, event operations, and content creation has reinforced the importance of building transversal skills—whether it’s creative problem-solving in high-pressure situations, effectively communicating with diverse stakeholders, or using data-driven insights to shape compelling narratives. Success isn’t just about mastering one skill but about integrating multiple competencies to navigate challenges and seize opportunities. Being able to pivot, think strategically, and collaborate across different functions has allowed me to remain valuable and effective, no matter the role or environment.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My work sits at the intersection of sports marketing, experiential activations, and content creation where I help bring brands, athletes, and fans closer together through immersive experiences and storytelling. What I believe sets me apart is my ability to blend analytical insights with creative execution—whether it’s executing large-scale activations that leave a lasting impact, developing compelling media content, crafting marketing strategies and more. I take pride in my versatility, having worked across different areas of the sports industry, from producing content for ESPN’s SportsCenter, to managing on-site activations for the Atlanta Braves’ World Series Trophy Tour, facilitating headwear operations at The Masters, to covering SEC baseball as an analyst and insider at the College World Series, to calling Georgia Tech baseball games as a color analyst, and more.

Getting to where I am currently wasn’t easy or a straight path, but every challenge has shaped me. Breaking into the sports industry requires resilience, adaptability, and a relentless work ethic. I’ve faced many moments of uncertainty, rejections, and the pressure of proving my value in extremely competitive spaces. I overcame those challenges by staying committed to learning & adapting, embracing every opportunity—big or small—as a chance to grow, and networking with intention. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that success isn’t just about talent; it’s about providing exceptional value, execution, adaptability, and being willing to do the work when no one is watching.

The core of my career is centered in a passion for building connections and memorable events—whether through activations, marketing, partnerships, or media. I want to help elevate brands, athletes, and organizations by creating authentic, engaging experiences that resonate with as many people as possible. My journey is about constantly evolving, challenging myself, and making an impact in the sports world, one project at a time!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d make sure they experienced the best that the city of Atlanta has to offer! Great food, live sports, outdoor adventures, and entertainment.

Must experience things would include: Braves game, Georgia Aquarium, College Football Hall of Fame, Atlanta History Center, play one of greater Atlanta’s many great golf courses, Piedmont Park, The Beltline, Ponce City Market, Krog Street Market, Alive After Five, and more.

Must taste food spots: This one’s tough because there are so many great options and so many that I’ve yet to try but Williamson Bros. BBQ, Fox Bros. BBQ, The Wing Cafe, Antico Pizza, Culinary Dropout, The Optimist and La Grotta on the higher end, and so many more.

Activities: A concert at one of the many great venues, a run along the river (6AM Run Easy ATL), and many more. There’s SO many incredible things to do, see, and experience in greater Atlanta!!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are many people and influences that have shaped my journey so far, but my biggest shoutout goes to my family, whose unwavering support and belief in me have been the foundation of everything I’ve pursued. My parents instilled in me the values of hard work, perseverance, and integrity, while some mentors of mine including Eric Brewton and former professors of mine Matt Dunn, Tom Regan, and Susan O’Malley, have challenged me to grow in ways I never imagined through their knowledge and extensive experiences.

I also owe a lot to the incredible organizations I’ve been fortunate to work with—from the Atlanta Braves, to The Masters, to ESPN, or the countless individuals in the sports industry who took the time to guide and inspire me.

Lastly, as someone who’s always seeking knowledge, critical thinking books like Atomic Habits by James Clear and many others have played an important role in shaping my mindset, discipline, and approach to both personal and professional growth. None of this happens alone, and I’m incredibly grateful for the people and experiences that have helped me get to where I am so far!
