We had the good fortune of connecting with Gianni Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Gianni, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I initially founded “Legally Attractive” in 2020 while attending Georgia State University as a criminal justice major. My entrepreneurial mind would not let me stay still to just enjoy college like a regular student. I had a taste of entrepreneurship before but I wanted to pursue what I really enjoyed. I’ve always had a passion for fashion and at the time, I aspired to be an attorney. I worked retail stores such as Express and American Eagle but it wasn’t until I began working in the legal field as a legal assistant, I noticed how many compliments I received and how I was well respected by the way I dressed. To me, I was just showing up as my true self- a girl boss. But, in a field that is color neutral I now understand why it wasn’t the norm So, the idea of starting the business out of it came naturally. It was something that women not only wanted but also needed.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve been a paralegal for a few years now working with both plaintiff and defense firms. The biggest piece of advice I can share with the community is that first impressions matter. Regardless of your occupation. Dress how you want to be addressed but that doesn’t mean you have to change your personal style. Find what works for you whether that is a color, a pattern, or even a specific fabric.
Personally, I love the color pink because it is so empowering. Just because I work as a professional does not deter me from wearing the color. I just find ways to incorporate it into my office style whether its through a scarf, purse, heel, headband, or button down.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Atlanta is home to so many breathtaking places. So, I’ll do my best to share my favorites. I would definitely take them to one of my favorite cafe’s, Cafe Intermezzo to catch up over tea, coffee, and dessert. I would also check Instagram to see if there are any events going on in the area. Pages like @vibesinatl and @girlbosssuites and eventbrite help the most when I am searching for what to do. I love to grab a good bite to eat and network with like-minded individuals.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to shout out my support system as a whole who continue to uplift me and encourage me to live my best life and go after my dreams. Being a young professional and pursuing entrepreneurship is not easy but having a strong support system definitely helps.
