We had the good fortune of connecting with George Bermudez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi George, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I pursue an artistic career because I’m able to express myself in so many ways. From videos, to photos, to drip paints to resin molding. There’s endless possibilities on what I can do!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m extremely proud of the person I’ve became with the camera. Despite the obstacles I’ve had to face I’ve never given up taking photos and reminding myself why I started taking photos. Getting to where I’m at has not been easy. I’ve gotten so many rejections, I was not taken serious because I didn’t own a professional camera at one point even though my photos would still look great. I had endless nights of editing. Balancing my day job with my photography has been a difficult thing as well. I’ve learned that being patient and doing everything out of love will get your further than half hearted doing something. Also never skipping any steps in life because it’s not always easy. Take each day step by step and at the end it’ll be worth it.
I’d love the world to know that I truly love taking photos. There’s something about it that makes me feel warm. Each result that comes out like my vision it’s like taking a sip of hot cocoa on a cold winter night in front of a fire

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’d take them around the belt line and try a bit of every food we can. Finish off at piedmont park and just walk around showing them all the cool art the city has to offer. Go around the buckhead diver bars, or around dark horse tavern and show the cool night life there is. Also take them out to karaoke who doesn’t love a good karaoke session? Lol

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Id love to give thanks to God for putting me on this earth and allowing me to be able to do what I love doing. All the opportunities I’ve ever gotten forever grateful. All my friends that I’ve stood by as they’ve seen the person I’ve became from the first time I picked up a camera. I’m extremely grateful to Pulp Magazine and the owner Massiel for every opportunity that they have brought to me.
