Meet Evan Woodrum | Event Photographer, Founder / Creative Producer at The Verve Agency

We had the good fortune of connecting with Evan Woodrum and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Evan, what are you inspired by?
I’m inspired by the power of storytelling…how a single moment, captured or created, can resonate universally yet feel deeply personal. I’m drawn to the intersection of innovation and emotion, where art pushes boundaries but remains rooted in authenticity.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is rooted in storytelling—capturing moments that feel alive and timeless, whether through live event coverage, creative production, or photography. What sets me apart is my commitment to authenticity; I aim to create work that resonates deeply, weaving together emotion, innovation, and excellence. I’m most proud of the relationships I’ve built with clients and collaborators, as well as the moments where my work has genuinely moved people.
Getting here wasn’t easy. Balancing freelance life and building The Verve Agency taught me resilience. I learned that discipline, faith, and the willingness to push past my limits were key to growth.
I want the world to know that my brand is more than just creative production—it’s about fostering collaboration, telling meaningful stories, and creating with purpose. My journey has been about pursuing excellence while staying true to the gifts God has given me and finding new ways to serve others through them.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting, we’d grab coffee at a local favorite like Brash Coffee or Chattahoochee Coffee Company, where the atmosphere is just as great as the brew.
The day would continue with some treasure hunting at Atlanta’s best antique stores, like Kudzu Antiques or Scott Antique Markets if the timing lines up. Exploring these spots is always an adventure, uncovering unique finds and vintage charm.
To wrap up, we’d head to a standout dinner spot. Little Sparrow offers a cozy, elevated dining experience with thoughtful dishes, while Barcelona Wine Bar delivers a vibrant vibe with incredible tapas and wine. Either way, it’s the perfect place to reflect on the day and toast to good company.
Each day would follow a similar rhythm—exploring hidden gems, enjoying great food, and diving into Atlanta’s unique culture. Whether hiking at Sweetwater Creek State Park, catching live music at The Eastern, or indulging in local eats at Krog Street Market, the week would be packed with unforgettable experiences.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Faith has been the foundation of my journey, guiding every step and shaping my perspective. I’d also dedicate my shoutout to the people who’ve believed in me when I didn’t always believe in myself. My wife, who challenges and inspires me daily, and my friends, whose creativity and encouragement have been a constant factor of growth. I’d also give credit to every creative mentor and collaborator who pushed me to refine my craft and dream bigger, as well as my church community, which has shaped my heart for people and purpose.
