We had the good fortune of connecting with Emmanuel Idim and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Emmanuel, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
chasing my dreams and achieving my goals, it makes me feel alive. if i don’t go after what my heart desires – i’m not living

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
i would like to describe myself has a full time creative, from creative productions to creative consultations – i have definitely touched it in some way. starting a business is never an easy process especially for we creatives cause it involves lots of mental strength for one to forge forward, and mine was no exception.

i co founded a creative lifestyle company called Ekpo during a very slow period in my life, when i had an extra year in uni – my parents were so mad at me for failing a semester so you can only imagine their reaction when they heard i wanted to start a brand!

i have a ton of proud moments, honestly it keeps getting better with time- nut i do appreciate small achievements like consulting for tiktok, uber nigeria, working on projects with nigerian based fashion brands like david blackmoore, maxivie….. t mention a few.

i just want my brand to be recognized for putting africa nigeria on the world map for positive purposes

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
im still fairly new in the city – but certain places I must suggest they check out are the belt line for a good walk and chow or just people watching, the centennial park and skyline for instagram worthy moments ( just to show you were in Atlanta) 00000 I also love the Jackson street bridge for a good view of the city.

to get some good affordable chow while in the heart of the city – they should Tabla in midtown, good vibes good food and affordable for a traveler.

hey, just hit Edgewood for a good nightlife to me but stay with the squad, it gets busy

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
i just want to give a shoutout to my mum who is ever supportive and big brother Francis for always been supportive despite the ups and downs life throws my way, my best friends also – too long a list to call
