We had the good fortune of connecting with Eden Labbé and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Eden, what do you want people to remember about you?
As a medicine woman, I strive to be a guiding light, creating a safe environment for individuals to explore their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs during times of transition. Through holistic healing, I hope to inspire self-discovery and empowerment, nurturing a community that honors traditions and celebrates interconnectedness.
My legacy will be one of love, healing, and transformation, making a lasting impression on those I serve.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My distinctiveness arises from my Haitian heritage combined with a unique set of skills and a compassionate approach, which I apply to empower BIPOC women throughout their motherhood journey. In addition to my birth work, I assist individuals in achieving healing and wellness through energetic practices and herbal remedies. My objective is to provide comprehensive care and vibrant energy that facilitate personal growth and thriving. Although I encountered various challenges, my resilience and strong support system were instrumental in my journey.
Currently, I take great pride in my role as the lead full-spectrum doula at the Divine Doula Agency. In addition, I facilitate group Reiki sessions at various events and retreats.
I have also introduced lactation teas and breastmilk soap for my clients.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Im usually occupied with births or energetic healing sessions, so whenever I’m not on call, my best friend and I make it a point to book the next available flight. Although Atlanta is a lot of fun, I’m excited to venture beyond Georgia and discover what the world has in store.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Along with my amazing support system, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to my community in birthwork.
I am also grateful for my mentors, whose wisdom and guidance have been invaluable. Their support has inspired me to push my limits and strive for excellence.
Reflecting on my journey, I recognize the power of connection and collaboration. Together, we can create a nurturing environment for ourselves and those we serve. I look forward to continuing this journey, learning from each other, and making a positive impact in childbirth and beyond. Thank you all for being part of this incredible experience.
