We had the good fortune of connecting with Eden Labbé and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Eden, how does your business help the community?
Healing InnerG LLC, aspires to be a catalyst for physical and emotional growth in direct correlation to wellness. We focus on offering a variety of empowering and transformative options designed to enhance wellness at large. Whether it be through product creation, reiki healing or aiding BIPOC women to advocate for themselves in a space that wasn’t created for us.
As a holistic birthworker, my mission is to nurture and empower women, supporting them on their journey towards a holistic well-being. I have been blessed to support women on their journey towards motherhood and tapping into their divine feminine.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The name and logo came before the business. I had reoccurring dreams of my logo for years before bringing it to life. Before Eden and Healing InnerG, there was Sisterhood and Healing, a group I created Feb 2019, that had 150+ members globally.
This group was made to create a safe space for women to unpack, uplift and empower one another towards healing. I’ve always been a firm believer in having a village.
With SH, I’ve led private discussions, curated events/clothes drives etc. It was going great until COVID came, life got really weird then and it was hard to bounce back from that.
Healing InnerG on the other hand did not. I continued to provide quality products through the pandemic that people could trust and although I was very grateful, I wasnt content. Something was missing. Crafting soaps, butters and teas was only surface level of what I wanted to do. I had to dig deeper and find a way to incorporate everything under one umbrella.
I had been a doula for years before knowing there was a term for it. I would make custom baskets for mothers and help them work through their trauma, and fear’s. Giving birth is very spiritual and as a birthworker, I’ve learned that those unresolved traumas will come up during labor and delivery if ignored. Recognizing these facts I would do activities with the mothers to help center & calm them before labor. This inspired me to invest in myself & get the proper education to support my business and dreams.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well i enjoy cooking for those i love so i would definitely be cooking and crafting cocktails most days but as far as restaurants .. I would suggest Toast for breakfast. Pho 24, Zekes and Tassilis for lunch. For dinner, Papi’s and South city kitchen.
Things to do during the day.. Go hiking near some running water or tubing. Have a picnic at a park. whatever immersive experience ATL has at the moment that’s interesting. Go walk the beltline and check out krog street, and the Battery/Atlantic station for tourist purposes.
Evening vibes .. The high museum. Slingshot. Rum punch. Bonfire. Open mics with live music and Jojo beloved for drinks.
Oh, and im definitely squeezing in a day trip to Chattanooga
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout goes to my support system. A village in this lifetime is essential and mine is the truth!
My customers for supporting me and my business .. who’ve trusted and allowed me to be apart of their journey.
My teacher, mentor and the birthworker community.
