We had the good fortune of connecting with Donta Taylor and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Donta, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process was to be able to help other artists grow their following and fan base. But I’m here to make it easier. When I was coming up in the industry I didn’t have the help or guidance to make my way.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Hard work and determination put me in the position to help artist. I created 7 Indie Music Radio Station, To promote my own music because the its always to many hands in the pot when your trying to promote your music. The reason 7 music management group LLc. was created by my fiancee and myself to build a team to help mentor artist and give them guidance and get them prepared for the next step music and to be prepared for them the major labels coming looking. They will know how to handle the contract and conversations.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For any of my music friends that were coming to visit me from out of town. We would visit the Delaware ave pier. For entertainment and daily drinks and fun. Of course we would a visit to my recording studio to work on music or do an interview, night life would be chill sit down for good music and drinks at a place called illusions in Clifton heights pa. We call it “da county”
