We had the good fortune of connecting with DØN DØŁØ and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi DØN, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Long story short, it was easier because I was already passionate about music and writing. I believe the talents that come easy to you but hard for others are ones you should never ignore
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from others outside of my appearance is the way I carry myself with maturity and respect. I’m proud that I’ve gotten this far in my career without the proper members of a team, for I do all the work myself but networking has been a major key on my position today in my profession. It’s always who you know and who knows of you but the journey hasn’t been the easiest. I overcome challenges by staying focus and taking one day at a time, all while still planning for the future. I’ve learned that you have to be your biggest fan. Many won’t believe in you so it’s your job to show them what they’re missing out on. I want the world to know that I’m not a role model but I do share compassion for others deeply.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Honestly, I’m too new to Atlanta to be a tour guide. Lol. If you have recommendations, please send them my way
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a special shout out to me because if I were to stop believing in myself when I had doubts and no one else payed me no mind, then I would have been miserable doing something that I hated. Outside of that, I wouldn’t be where I’m at without my siblings and mother. They were always there for me when I needed them and I’m forever grateful and appreciative of their lives
