We had the good fortune of connecting with Devanté Bailey and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Devanté, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I came up with the idea of my business when I realized how passionate I was just by simply talking about it with others. I knew I had what it took to start, but I wanted to make sure I’ve done tons of research + testing. After getting so many good reviews and testimonials that’s when So Rich Naturals became a serious thing that I’ve created. A skin, body, hair, + overall wellness brand devoted to the highest quality natural products.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Initially, when I started out it wasn’t an easy road and still isn’t. I’ve learned a lot from trial and error. That didn’t stop me of course, I’m so thankful for perseverance being instilled in me early. I’ve learned that research is huge key, but so is taking action. You can’t be afraid to make mistakes because that’s how we learn and grow. Being a perfectionist is kind of a gift and curse. You always tend to feel like there’s room for growth (and usually it is) but knowing when to pat yourself on the back and acknowledge your growth is imperative. I want the world to know that I put every fiber of my being into what I do and when it comes to my brand, they’ll always receive the highest quality products that are on the market.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We’d go out to dinner to enjoy the scenery, go to a couple bars or clubs just to loosen up a bit, and most likely sometime later during the week enjoy something that isn’t too crazy like jet skiing being that my friends may not be as bold as me. I’m the adventurous friend that likes all things that can be intimidating to others (mountain climbing, sky diving, bungee jumping, deep sea diving etc)
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many that I’m thankful for from Instructors, Youtubers, Authors of certain books that I’ve studied, the list goes on. I just want to say thank you to all that has contributed and still are contributing to my development + elevation.
