We had the good fortune of connecting with Denise Leslie and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Denise, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Work life balance is a state of equilibrium where an individual is able to successfully manage the demands of their personal lives without feeling overwhelmed or neglecting either aspect. It is a dynamic and ongoing process that requires constant adjustment and reevaluation.
There is no one size fits all answer to the question of how to achieve work-life balance. What works for one person may not work for another. The key is to find a balance that works for you, and your individual circumstances. Here are some factors to consider when thinking about work life balance.
Your values.
Your work style. How do you work Best?
What are your priorities?
Your personal life, what do you enjoy doing outside of your work? What are your hobbies, & interest?
Your support system AKA your tribe, who can you rely on for support?
Set boundaries
I reset myself every three months. I generally will change my hobbies, my work out schedule, and my personal self care also changes with the seasons.
I have a mindset that if I am not taking good care of my self and my needs I can not show up in a supportive way for my employees, my contractors, my family, my patients, or my community,

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would Absolutely start our Atlanta week by having lunch on the roof of Ponce City Market. I love the view from there. I would hope there was a show playing at the Fox theater, if not we would find a show to see. She would have to see the Aquarium and take a walk through Centennial Olympic park. I would love to take her to dinner at the Optimist, or Bacchanalia .
After seeing the City for a couple days I want to take her to North Ga. There are some amazing cabins Off Grid is one, Waters edge at Stanley Creek. We would hike the mountains in Toccoa, and have dinner at the Toccoa Restaurant it sits right on the river and has beautiful views. There is a spa in Blueridge called Tea Tree, it looks like a cabin, and the treatments are so relaxing.
Once we get back into the City I want to take her to the Martin Luther King Jr. Historical Site. I would take her to the shops at Lenox, we would have dinner there as well her choosing the restaurant Gypsy Kitchen, or Southern Gentleman are two of my favorites.
I would want her to see historic Roswell on Canton street, we have a coffee and tea shop called Just Love and it is such a great vibe. I would also want her to see historic Marietta on the square for some shopping and site seeing.
