Meet Dar Kashi | Chief Builder

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dar Kashi and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dar, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
At Kashi Custom Homes, we believe that the way we build has a lasting impact—not just on the families who live in our homes, but on the community and environment around them. By focusing on high-performance, science-based building practices, we reduce energy use, lower utility costs, and create healthier indoor environments. This means our homeowners enjoy better comfort and air quality, while also leaving a smaller carbon footprint.
We are EarthCraft certified builders and capable of building to Passive House standards, which places us among the most environmentally responsible builders in the region. By raising the bar on efficiency, durability, and sustainability, we’re helping to shape a healthier future for Atlanta’s neighborhoods and setting new expectations for what a home can be.
Beyond the technical side, we see our role as building more than just houses—we’re building community. Every project we complete strengthens local neighborhoods, creates jobs for skilled trades, and adds long-term value to the surrounding area.
In short, we help the community and the world by creating homes that are smarter, healthier, and more sustainable, leaving a legacy of quality that benefits both people and the planet.

What should our readers know about your business?
Kashi Custom Homes was founded on the belief that a house should be more than just a place to live—it should be a healthy, efficient, and enduring sanctuary for the people who call it home. What sets us apart is our commitment to building science and performance. Every project is guided by data, proven methods, and certifications like EarthCraft, ensuring that our homes are not only beautiful but also exceptionally comfortable, energy-efficient, and sustainable.
We are most proud of the fact that we can deliver luxury and high performance together. Many builders focus on one or the other, but we bring them into harmony—crafting homes that inspire through design while protecting families through healthier indoor air, durability, and long-term energy savings.
The journey here has not been easy. Like most entrepreneurs, we faced the challenges of starting with limited resources, building trust, and navigating an industry that often resists change. We overcame those challenges by leaning into our core values: persistence, education, and transparency. Every obstacle became an opportunity to learn, refine, and prove that a better way of building is possible.
Along the way, we’ve learned that the true measure of success isn’t just a completed home—it’s the trust built with clients, the pride of the tradespeople we partner with, and the positive impact on the community.
What we want the world to know is this: Kashi Custom Homes exists to raise the standard of what a home should be. We believe every family deserves a space that is crafted with care, performance-driven, and built to last for generations. Our story is one of resilience, innovation, and a relentless pursuit of better homes for a better future.
