We had the good fortune of connecting with Danielle Dada and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Danielle, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was to begin to create generational wealth for my children. To be able to leave them something tangible, and the knowledge of how to maintain it, is very important to me.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets Chloe Shaniece (CS) apart from the others? CS offer exceptional customer service, a high quality product and guaranteed shipping. CS prides itself on being a one-stop-shop for all fashion wardrobe needs. In our offerings, you will find staple pieces for your closet to accentuate the style you already have. You will also find essentials/basics and some fun seasonal pieces throughout the website.

CS is a fairly new company, so I am most excited about the growth potential, doing the work and killing it! In the next years, I know that CS will be a household name because new milestones are being reached monthly and we really want to focus on engaging with our customers. Keeping our ears to the “streets” keeps us in tune with demand.

I got to where I am today by just doing the work and remembering that “Done is better than perfect”. Stagnation equals no money! It’s a mind set shift and it was not easy. We always think perfect, perfect, perfect, when in fact we’ll learn that people want to see people, flaws and all! I am just now coming out of my shell on this; I am finally getting back to me. I was lost in the sauce. I overcame by not trying to navigate around the ugliness, but through it. That has been the biggest lesson I’ve learned about being an entrepreneur.

I’d like the world to know that for me it has always been about the clothes, even when I didn’t realize it. For instance, I remember looking at family photos and making mental notes of the hair, the shoes and the clothes. Reflecting on that, I now realize that was my purpose nudging me. I say all that to say this, I love when a woman can carry herself with confidence, no matter where she is, or where shes going. So, in essence, I am here to fulfill the need of a woman wanting to feel confident everyday via her clothes. CS has been referred to as “The clothing boutique for boss MILFs”. I don’t think I mind! lol

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Definitely on the itinerary is a little spot called The Graft. The food is amazing and it’s a whole vibe. Also on the list is the Jamaican spot Negril. They have great food, drinks and music. Top Golf, some historical spots and downtown festivities would also be on the list.

There’s also a tiny fashion district in Virginia Highland where the shopping is phenomenal. I like to see different lifestyles and people to get inspiration for future collections.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to highlight my mom and dad; they both have shown me what it looks like to work hard and make huge sacrifices on behalf of family.

Also, I’d like to highlight my brother for always encouraging me and reassuring me that I can do anything.

Lastly, but definitely not least, my husband for always having my back.

I love them to life!
