Meet Courtney Green | Director & COO, Together We Can Foundation, Inc. Real Estate Developer & Community Impact Leader

We had the good fortune of connecting with Courtney Green and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Courtney, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
My work is centered around creating opportunities and strengthening communities. Through real estate development, I invest in properties that help revitalize neighborhoods, create jobs, and provide safe, quality spaces for families and businesses. Through our annual Girls Summit, we empower young girls with mentorship, leadership development, scholarships, and resources that build confidence and prepare them for future success. Together, these efforts allow us to make a lasting impact both economically and socially.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My career has been built on faith, perseverance, and a genuine desire to make a difference. I began my journey as a student-athlete, earning the honor of Miss Alabama Basketball, becoming a two-time state champion, and continuing my basketball career at LSU before playing professionally overseas in Portugal. Sports taught me discipline, resilience, teamwork, and how to lead under pressure lessons that continue to guide me today.
After basketball, I found my passion in community impact, entrepreneurship, and youth development. Today, I serve as the Director and COO of Together We Can Foundation, where we create programs that support youth mental health, education, mentorship, and leadership development. One of the initiatives I am most proud of is the Girls Summit, which has empowered hundreds of young girls through mentorship, scholarships, and meaningful conversations about confidence, leadership, and purpose.
In addition to my nonprofit work, I am involved in real estate development and community revitalization projects. My goal is not simply to build properties, but to help create opportunities, strengthen neighborhoods, and leave communities better than I found them.
My journey has not been easy. Like many women, I have balanced motherhood, marriage, entrepreneurship, leadership, and personal challenges while learning to navigate uncertainty and setbacks. There were moments when I questioned myself, faced obstacles, or had to start over. What helped me overcome those challenges was staying rooted in my faith, remaining adaptable, and remembering my “why.” I’ve learned that success is rarely a straight path. It requires patience, consistency, and the willingness to keep moving forward even when the outcome isn’t clear.
What sets me apart is that I genuinely care about people. Whether I am coaching athletes, mentoring young women, leading a nonprofit, or working on a development project, my focus is always on creating impact. I believe success means very little if you aren’t using it to help someone else.
If there’s one thing I want people to know about my story, it’s that purpose is bigger than titles, awards, or accomplishments. I want my brand to represent service, leadership, authenticity, and community. I hope people see someone who is committed to opening doors for others and proving that with faith, hard work, and perseverance, it’s possible to create a meaningful

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting Los Angeles for a week, I would want them to experience a little bit of everything that makes Southern California special beautiful scenery, great food, culture, and adventure.
We would start with a relaxing boat ride along the bay and enjoy the incredible views of the coastline. Throughout the week, we’d spend time exploring some of Los Angeles’ amazing museums, including art, history, and entertainment exhibits that showcase the city’s unique culture.
Of course, no trip to Los Angeles would be complete without spending time at the beach. We’d visit spots like Santa Monica and Malibu, enjoy the ocean views, walk the pier, and catch a beautiful California sunset.
For a little adventure, we’d hit some of the area’s scenic hiking trails. Whether it’s hiking in the hills overlooking the city or exploring coastal trails, there’s nothing like seeing Los Angeles from above.
We’d also make time to explore local restaurants, enjoy outdoor dining, visit popular shopping districts, and experience the energy of the city. The combination of beaches, mountains, culture, and entertainment is what makes Los Angeles such a special place.
What I love most about Los Angeles is that you can spend the morning hiking, the afternoon at the beach, and the evening enjoying world-class food and entertainment all in the same day. It’s truly a city with something for everyone.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Besides God, my biggest shoutout goes to my husband, JaMychal Green. He has been one of my greatest supporters, encouragers, and partners in every season of life. Whether it’s raising our family, building businesses, serving our community, or pursuing new opportunities, he has always believed in me and pushed me to dream bigger. His work ethic, resilience, and commitment to giving back have inspired so much of what we do together. I am incredibly grateful to have someone who not only supports my vision but actively helps make it possible. Many of the opportunities and impact we’ve been able to create in our community are the result of us working together with a shared purpose of helping others.
