We had the good fortune of connecting with Christie Hall and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christie, what’s the most important thing you’ve done for your children?
I asked my 14 year old to tell me something that he has learned from me about life? He said “to work hard and always be honest.” That answer made me proud because of all the things I think he is learning from me, those two stick out the most. I try really hard to make sure he knows that nothing in life is free and I work hard to make sure that we can have the things we need and some of the things we want. I am always very honest with him. I think he appreciates that and it helps us have a strong bond. I want to be the best example for him. Every decision I make, I have his best interest in mind first. Being a parent is probably the hardest thing I have ever done. It’s definitely the most rewarding though.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have always been creative. Whether it’s writing, crafts, marketing, or my oil bar, I can get in my zone and make magic happen. When I am at my oil bar I get excited when we test new combinations that work. The most exciting part of my job is my customer’s stories. Whenever a customer reaches out to me and tells me how much my products have help them or changed their self esteem, it lets me know that I am doing the right thing and it makes me proud. I started blending oils and learning more about their properties because I wanted to genuinely help people. I always work hard at everything I do. People can tell that I put a lot of effort into my products . It hasn’t been easy and several ideas didn’t make the cut. At the end of the day, I want my products to create happy stories for my customers.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I am so blessed to have amazing people in my life. My close friends are always cheering me on. They definitely keep my confidence up. My FBBC church family for all of their constant support and love. Sharpe Creek Photography for always doing amazing photos of me. My mom because I can call her about EVERYTHING! She always encourages me and has talked me off of the ledge a few times. My dad because he is tough and doesn’t always say what I want to hear, but I know he is proud of me. It makes me work harder to make both of my parents proud. My son, Kenyan. He is my motivation. Everything I do is because I want to make sure he can learn from me. Above all I have to give recognition to God. Every time I turn around He is showing up for me.
