Meet Chris Mccartha

Today we’re excited to be connecting with Chris Mccartha again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.
Chris, we are so thrilled to be connecting again and can’t wait to hear about all the amazing things you have been up to. Before we jump into all of that, some of our readers might have missed our prior interview, so can you take a moment to reintroduce yourself?
My name is Chris McCartha, a well-known investor, entrepreneur, mentor, and business coach from Atlanta Ga. What sets me apart from most is that I am an engineer by trade, enabling me to take ideas from concept to reality and solve problems from the beginning before they occur. My businesses and clients have been able to achieve profitability and sustainability faster. One successful endeavor has led to a myriad of other successful ventures. Sometimes you have to take a leap of faith. Develop your strategy and stick to it. People and opportunities will come to you but they must fit your criteria, I never force anything.
Great, so let’s jump into an update on what you have been up to since we last spoke. What can you share with us?
Since our last interview, I think it was done right before or during Covid. At that time we spotlighted our laundry business.
The bad of course was the changing marketplace with people working from home and not going into the office and working remotely. We exited the dry cleaning portion of our business.
The Good – as the travel industry picked back up we became the dominant provider for STR, ABNB, and VRBO laundry providers in the metro area. We would facilitate the laundry process for over 100 properties.
The better- we now provide emergency laundry services for various hotels, and other facilities throughout the metro area.
The Fun- these opportunities have allowed us to travel with our extended family to places they never believed they would see.
The exciting – having been in the coin laundry industry now for over a decade I have the knowledge and expertise to develop and consult others looking for entry into the industry. A lot has changed over the last decade. I think we did our first store for $250,000 our newest location will cost over $1M. We still enjoy the business even though the dynamics have changed it still offers a lot. Out of our portfolio of businesses, this has been a fun ride, that has brought us friendships, partnerships, and opportunities that we never received in our corporate careers.
We also want to give folks a chance to get to know you a bit better so we’ve prepared a fun lightning round of questions. Ready?
