We had the good fortune of connecting with Chassity Parrish and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chassity, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
I think work likfe balance is about planning, prioritizing, and scheduling. When I became Mompreneur I did not know the many facets that I would have to manage. I thought it would be a piece of cake, but over time I realized the importance of the word balance and how to combat balance.
I manage many facets including a 9-5, a business (marketing, finance, social media), 5 kids, a spouse, appointments, and my household. With aligning myself, I have learned many methods to balance: planning, prioriting, scheduling, delegating, and automating.
As a Mompreneur, wife, co-author of The Mompreneur Manual, and Mom of 5, I know what it means to yearn for a sense of balance. That’s why I motivate, empower, and teach momz how to Reclaim balance, self-care, and their lives to become the very best version of themselves.
About 10 years ago, I was at a point where I completely lost myself by giving my all to my family, spouse, children, church, career, and friends, all while disregarding myself and this is where I realized I had no sense of balance.
This negatively affected my health (mental and physical). I suffered from depression, anxiety, and medical issues that landed me on bed rest by doctor’s orders.
Through my relationship with God and him healing me, I have become resilient and have maintained balance.
My Resilience has empowered me with the ability to encourage, teach, and empower other Moms to navigate through their life obstacles.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
As a Life Coach, I use my Certified Life Coaching Skills and Real Life (Real Experiences) Practical Skills to teach and empower emerging Mompreneurs how to dig deep to use your time, strategies, and resources in a way that supports the business and family without sacrificing their well-being. Momz are also taught how to develop their own personalized RoadMap to Self-Care, Change their Mindset, and How to tap into their #SheroPowers to Redefine themselves.
I empower Moms to dig deep and step outside of the box and evolve, set boundaries, protect their peace, learn their worth, love themselves, ask for help when needed, and make themselves a Priority.
What sets me apart is that my services are creative and unorthodox methods for Moms. Moms will have to dig deep and allow their SheroPowers to come out so that they are able to unlock who they really are.
I am most proud that I really took that necessary step to become a Mompreneur while managing so many aspects of my life. I was already busy just being a mom, spouse, and having a 9-5. This has empowered my children to want to become Entrepreneurs.
It was not easy to keep my business going, but my WHY and my PASSION has kept me going. I pray daily, I journal daily, I practice Self-Care, I plan and I schedule and that is what has continually kept me.
I have learned that consistency is key when starting and maintaining a business. Whatever you are passionate about or whatever you are going to do, just be consistent- people see that and they begin to believe in you and support you.
I am authentic and I am passionate about helping and empowering Momz to understand that they don’t have to loose themselves and sacrifice themselves in order to create success and balance in their family, relationships, career, and lifestyle. I have the gift in empowering and showing Moms how to create a personalized roadmap to Self-Care, change their mindset, and how to tap into their own #sheropowers to redefine themselves.
I also provide Mentoring to Momz.
My Mentoring 4 Momz Program assist Momz in developing mental, physical, spiritual, and psychological stamina – in the midst of the dynamic, multilateral roles of motherhood – through guidance, motivation, emotional support, role modeling, and identifying resources.
In my one-month immersion program, Momz will identify and shift negative patterns to positive ones. As we resolve old habits and replace them with healthy habits, Momz will replenish their stamina and set productive boundaries.
If Momz are ready to dive into self-reflection, self-identification and self-love that uses life circumstances to support their evolution and transform your past pain into future growth, Mentoring 4 Momz is for this Mom.
Lastly, I do Motivational Speaking to Momz.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my girlfriends came into town, we would definitely go to a spa. My friends and I love to get pampered with facials, massages, mimosas, and a great dinner.
We would go to the Spa at the MGM National Harbor in Fort Washington, Maryland
After the Spa, the casino is part of the MGM so we would go to the Casino and play a few games in our nicest outfits because we like to look cute.
For Dinner we would eat at the Mezeh Mediterranean Grill because we are foodies and like to try new foods.
Late night, attend a show at the MGM.
We would spend our week at the MGM because it is all inclusive spa, food, fun getaway for girls trip. Everyday would be something different and fun.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to thank my Husband and my family for always supporting my business and allowing me the time needed to push my business forward.
I am excited about The Mompreneur Manual guide that my co-author (Danielle Towner) and I have written to help moms build a balanced business. We have been getting great feedback as Moms are looking for a one stop shop when looking to build a business but are seeking self-care and balance tools.
I also would like to thank God for giving me this vision to pursue my business of empowerment Moms to become the very best version of themselves while they are juggling the many facets of motherhood, their business, and their family without loosing sight of themselves.
