We had the good fortune of connecting with Chanel Nicole Scott and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chanel Nicole, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
When I first launched CheMinistry, it was driven by a deep passion to create a space where I could discuss my own failed relationships with others who shared similar experiences. Initially, I didn’t view it as a business. However, as the platform evolved, it gained popularity as an event in Atlanta, GA, and Charlotte, NC. After seven years of hosting these events, I was offered the chance to produce a TV pilot on Fox Soul, where I would serve as the executive producer of my own show. This led to another opportunity to produce my second TV show, Relationships Matter, which is available on In The Black Network.

What should our readers know about your business?
In the realm of relationship talk, I am your go-to expert. As the creative force behind the hit talk show “CheMinistry,” available for streaming on In The Black Network and Fox Soul, I bring a fresh and insightful perspective to the world of relationships.

With my show “Relationships Matter,” I partner with two-time NBA Champion Josh Powell to engage in candid discussions about love, romance, and everything in between. Our dynamic conversations, also featured on In The Black Network, offer insights and advice that deeply resonate with audiences.

Known as the “Queen of Relationship Talk,” I captivate viewers with my sharp wit and fearless demeanor, creating a space where honesty and authenticity thrive. In my recent book, “Relationships Matter,” I share personal stories and experiences, empowering readers to cultivate fulfilling and authentic partnerships in their own lives.

I also host the new talk show “Crowned,” alongside an all-star lineup including Vivica A. Fox, Syleena Johnson, and Lore’l. This fresh series redefines the essence of a “girls’ night out” with its bold and genuine discussions, exploring a wide range of experiences that resonate across gender lines. The show champions the spirit of empowerment, encouraging viewers to uplift one another, beautifully symbolized by the act of straightening each other’s crowns.

In my view, understanding and valuing emotions, past experiences, emotional intelligence, desires, wants, and needs are essential elements for nurturing successful relationships. My deep dive into the intricacies of human connection has provided me with invaluable insights into common relationship pitfalls and how to navigate them effectively.

Drawing from my own journey of growth and self-discovery, I bring a unique blend of vulnerability and wisdom to my work. By sharing my personal struggles and triumphs across all my platforms, including “CheMinistry” and “Relationships Matter,” I inspire others to embark on their paths toward enlightenment and self-awareness.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The most exciting destination for me is Dubai. To create a truly unforgettable itinerary, we’d definitely venture outside the country.

On Day 1, we’d kick off our adventure with a thrilling session of dune bashing in 4×4 land cruisers in the desert. In the evening, we’d enjoy live entertainment featuring belly dancing, a fire show, and sandboarding, all while indulging in a BBQ buffet dinner.

Day 2 would be dedicated to exploring Abu Dhabi, starting with a visit to the magnificent Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. Later, we’d experience a unique dining experience at Dinner in the Sky.

On Day 3, we’d head to Aura Sky Pool to take in the stunning views of Dubai. Afterwards, we’d dine at one of Dubai’s popular restaurants.

Day 4 would be all about luxury and relaxation as we rent a yacht for the day, savoring exquisite Mediterranean cuisine on board.

For Day 5, we’d schedule a desert photo shoot with the iconic flying dresses. We might also visit one of Dubai’s top tourist attractions, such as Miracle Garden or the Museum of the Future, and cap off the trip with some serious shopping at Dubai Mall.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Honestly, I owe all my success to God. When I first embarked on this journey, my enthusiasm was met with skepticism, and everyone thought I was crazy. I passionately shared my dreams and vision, but no one believed in me. I realized, however, that God hadn’t given them the vision; He had given it to me. He provided me with every resource and support needed to reach this point in my career.
