We had the good fortune of connecting with Celisa Rouser and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Celisa, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
In the beginning I was not balancing well but over time I have learned to set aside time for what’s priority. I have a set schedule which I make sure is flexible so I can accomplish what needs to be done as well as just take that time out for myself when needed. Work life balance is very important to me as a mother and business owner it’s necessary.

What should our readers know about your business?
TyEli Natural LLC is a small family business that encourages self care. We create all products by hand using organic ingredients. We have vegan products as well. Recently we have added crystal healing jewelry to assist with healing and spiritual growth. I got here today by not giving up being consistent as well as believing that what I was doing was needed by so many. No it hasn’t been easy but I wouldn’t change the journey at all. So much growth comes from just starting, I have learned that I order to be visible you must make a place for your brand. Don’t compare yourself to others dig deep in your passion and take breaks when you need. I’d like the world to know that regardless of the obstacles you can definitely make it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’d start by taking them to Mistown which is like a arts district. There is always live music and activities. We would most likely grab a bit at Rail Garden which has amazing cocktails and food. Definitely would have to hit up some of my favorite local small businesses near the Beale street Area. Makedas Cookies on Second St a great spot for something sweet. The BB King is one of my favorites for live music and the food is great. A visit to the Triangle Bass Pro shop, museum hopping then grab a bite at one of any of the spots downtown. A evening stroll by the river at sunset to end the evening. Wet Willies is definitely a goto for evening drinks my favorite is CALL ME A CAB. There is always great brunch spots to choose from so for sure that is a must for me at Slim Chickens there pineapple

Mimosa is my favorite. In the mood for a little Reggae we would hit up Brensons on Madison Ave for jerk chicken and rum punch.
