We had the good fortune of connecting with Carmen Campbell and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Carmen, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
Proverbs 3:5-6 5 “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 it is one of those verses that for me just reaffirms God’s sovereignty, as well as his ability to guide me along the path that he has prepared for me. Oftentimes it has helped me to put things back in the proper perspective whenever I have felt confused or uncertain about my life’s journey, by reminding me that God is in control. Therefore, not to base my decisions on my own understand because my understanding is extremely limited compared to God’s. I like that this verse, has time and time again reminded me, that I do not need to have all the details but that instead, I just simply need to surrender the need to have it all figured out, acknowledge who God is in every situation, and in every area of my life and trust his direction.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The name of my business is Bible Bliss. Bible Bliss, a Lifestyle Boutique and Community for Christian women, that uniquely combines faith, fashion, and spiritual empowerment. I launched Bible Bliss Boutique back in Dec 2018 and I have since grown it into a community of over 19k+ women. Building the Bible Bliss IG platform into a place where women can shop, be spiritually empowered, receive daily inspiration, and even enjoy a good laugh here and there. One of the things I am most proud of is taking the leap of faith to start me business. Now that my business is established however, another thing that I am most proud of. Is the community I have built and more importantly the impact I make by showing up every day encouraging women to love God, Trust God and develop a personal relationship with God. I got where I am today business-wise by doing the work, staying committed to the vision God gave me and by staying consistent. If you want people to show for anything you have going on, you must first show up consistently for yourself. Was it easy building my business to where it is now? No, it was not. I think what worked in my favor however in terms of overcoming every new challenge though, is that I never expected it to be easy. I went into it looking forward to the good, the bad and even they ugly. My years of walking with God has taught me and helped me to also understand that all the Highs and Lows are simply just apart of the journey. A Lesson I have learned? Due to the pandemic I have learned that in business you must be able to pivot and adapt because things can change at any minute. Something I would like people to know about my brand story, I would like people to know that my business was built on faith and faith alone. I started my business without telling any of my family members or friends, not a tone of money and without looking for support or validation from anyone. I just simply took that vision that God give me a ran with it. I think it is important that people know this because I know lack of support nd money has killed many dreams and I would like people to know that if I can do it, they sure can too.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am more of a homebody so don’t really know.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would have to say my children. Aside from my faith, my children are one my main sources of love, light, and encouragement. Knowing that my daughters are watching my every move has inspired me to never give up, never give in but to give life all that I have got.
