We had the good fortune of connecting with Candace Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Candace, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
Honestly? A mix of prayer, persistence, and post-it notes. I’ve learned that showing up consistently, whether it’s for a client, a showing, or just staying on top of my to-do list, goes a long way. I also make it a point to keep learning and stay plugged in with other professionals who push me to grow.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
’m a licensed Realtor based in metro Atlanta, and I specialize in helping people buy, sell, invest and not lose their mind in the process. What sets me apart is that I genuinely care. Not just about closing deals, but about making sure my clients feel confident, informed, and supported every step of the way. Real estate can be overwhelming, especially for first-timers, so I make it a point to simplify the process, educate my clients, and be their calm in the chaos.

Getting to where I am today definitely wasn’t easy. It took a lot of late nights, self-doubt, regrouping, and starting over. But it also took prayer, persistence, and leaning on the people who believed in me. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that consistency beats perfection. Even when things feel slow or uncertain, showing up and doing the work still moves the needle.

What I’m most proud of is the trust my clients place in me. I don’t take that lightly. When someone chooses me to guide them through one of the biggest financial decisions of their life, it means everything.

If there’s one thing I want the world to know about me and my brand, it’s that this is more than real estate. It’s about relationships. I’m not here for the quick wins. I’m here to build something real, serve with integrity, and create experiences that people actually enjoy. Because yes, buying or selling a home can be exciting, especially when you’ve got the right person on your side.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting, we’re doing it right. Atlanta has so much to offer, and I’d make sure they get a mix of good vibes, great food, and fun experiences they’ll be talking about long after they leave.

We’d kick things off at Barcelona Wine Bar for the best tapas and wine. The food is amazing, the energy is always just right, and it’s one of my favorite go-to spots. After that, we’re heading to Palo Santo for craft cocktails and rooftop views. The drinks are beautiful and the atmosphere is such a vibe.

For Sunday Funday, we’re absolutely hitting up Westside Motor Lounge. They’ve got everything from food and drinks to DJs and yard games. It’s one of the best places to let loose and have a good time. We’d also carve out a day for Your Third Spot where we can bowl, play arcade games, and just have some carefree fun. It’s a whole experience.

One day would definitely be for walking the BeltLine and hanging out at Piedmont Park. We’d rent bikes, people, watch, grab a popsicle from King of Pops, and just enjoy the city from a more laid-back, local perspective.

And since I’m in real estate, I’d take them through a few of my favorite neighborhoods to show them what makes Atlanta so special. There are so many beautiful homes, hidden gems, and spots you don’t see unless someone local shows you.

Atlanta has a little bit of everything, and I’d make sure they get a taste of all of it.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout goes to my fiancé. He’s been my rock through every high and low, always reminding me why I started and encouraging me to keep going, even on the days when I felt like giving up. Whether I’m celebrating a big win or venting about a long day, he listens, supports, and somehow always knows exactly what to say to ground me. He believes in me in a way that pushes me to believe even deeper in myself, and that kind of love and support is priceless. So yes, major credit goes to him. I wouldn’t be where I am without his steady presence and constant belief in my vision.
