Meet Caleb Kutsche | Baseball Performance Physical Therapist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Caleb Kutsche and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Caleb, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I wanted to create a business where quality was more valued than quantity. In big chain, physical therapy businesses, the focus appeared to be on getting as many people through the door as possible, rather than getting people as healthy as possible. I don’t think it was any particular person‘s fault. I just think, the way the corporate business model is set up, it’s the only way to be profitable. I wanted to show each customer how much they are valued, and I found a way to do this and make a living at the same time. At Incline, we see people one-on-one and we provide a premium service for the time and cost of each session.

What should our readers know about your business?
Incline Performance Therapy is where Rehab and Physical Therapy come together. Too often injured players are released from physical therapy, but are nowhere close to being able to perform on the field. This is the precise situation our business would shine. We have strength measurement tools and velocity testing protocols to ensure the athlete is ready to get back on the field safely.
I came from a big chain physical therapy practice. I learned a lot about how to be a professional and how to care for people. However, the model was difficult to provide high quality care for each person.
Now, I get to work one-one-one with some of the best young athletes and the outcomes are amazing!
It definitely has not been easy, the biggest challenge is getting my name out there for people to find. Fortunately, word of mouth seems to be working in our favor and we are making a lot of progress from our clients passing along our information. I think positive word of mouth is the result of having a good service.
Our Mission at Incline is to maximize God-given ability by helping baseball players, and athletes, get healthy and stay healthy throughout their career.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would definitely take them to Woodstock. I would take them to the Summer Concert Series and spend the afternoon roaming downtown Woodstock. We would have to stop at Eden Smoothies while we were there.
Hiking Kennesaw Mountain would be a must.
Being a baseball nut, I’d probably take them to see a Braves Game at Truist Park. If they wanted to see a cool business, Better Baseball would be a fune place to visit and see how hard they could hit a baseball.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My wife, Jessica, deserves all the credit. She has been my support through PT School and the beginning of my career. She has stood by me, raising our two kids, through the uncertainty of entrepreneurship, and she makes our home a wonderful place to return every day.
