We had the good fortune of connecting with Brooke Aura and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brooke, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
1.Chase your dreams. Do not get stuck as a job that doesn’t value you or you can see yourself doing happily for the rest of your life.
2.Never mix business with personal. Not everyone is on the same journey as you and a lot of people will be left behind.
3. Most importantly KNOW YOUR WORTH. Being nice to please others is only disrespecting yourself.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am Brooke Aura and QOAT, the Queen of all Trades. I have the best career in the world designing factories. Design Engineer by day, Entrepreneur for the rest of the time. When I’m off from drawing and want to socialize, I travel coast to coast acting, create content with my NC acting friends, and run my own, as well as co-host a podcast. My podcast is called AURA After Dark, now on the path to the Aura Network; a community for anyone to get resources, motivation, and network with others for accountability partnership, mental and business growth. 3rd Voice podcast gives us the safe space to sharpen our acting skills by themed truthful storytelling. Outside of acting, I’m fixing cars, braiding hair, writing scripts, and learning video editing. Of all these skills and hobbies, I’m the most proud and excited about being a MOM. I have 3 of the most amazing kids that support me and encourage me through it all. They understand I’m just a normal person figuring out parenting and life, and gives me patience to get it right. The biggest lesson I’ve learned along this journey is everyone see your light and not everyone around is genuinely rooting for you.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have the best and most support from my kids, my best friend, Kenitsha, and my brother. My Best friend gives me the boost to chase my wildest dreams and is the reason I started acting. My brother keeps me reminded I’m the chosen one in the family. My kids provide me a safe space to be my authentic self and don’t try to overwhelm me knowing I carry such a heavy load. They made me into Greatness.
