We had the good fortune of connecting with Bossi Demands and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bossi, why did you pursue a creative career?
Growing up, I was always into the arts. I was on the cheerleading team in school, I joined several dance groups throughout my teenage years, as well as stepping teams. Being that I’m a gay male, I was bullied a lot growing up. The frustrations of being bullied and not having a voice to stand up for myself when I was younger made me start writing my thoughts and feelings down. With doing that I found myself starting to turn those thoughts and feelings into music. Now that I’m so in love with writing, I feel as though my potential for reaching a successful music career, is limitless. I’ve become so infatuated with my music and newly found confidence.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Growing up in a Spanish speaking household, the way I spoke wasn’t always clear to others. My different pronunciations of certain words and things like that were a bit challenging. As I got older, I started to work in job fields that help me interact and engage with people more. With that, my way of speaking became better and I was able to tap more into my professional side. For example, working front desks at hotels. I would have to answer phones and help people face to face. That allowed me to learn professional etiquettes and expand my vocabulary. Which is now helping me in my artistic career.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
One thing about Bossi; I’m going to have a good time! Lol

It’s so hard to choose a favorite spot, so here’s a few of mine: For dining, great food and drinks, Jue Lan, Serafina, and Fogo De Chao, to name a few.
For great night life (i.e clubs, bars and lounges) : Boxers, Karaoke bars, made in Mexico, and Jimmy’s just to name a few.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My first shout out, goes to the man above! God, himself. Without him, my perseverance in the face of adversity wouldn’t have been possible! Next, my amazing mother who supports me in all my endeavors. Through thick, and thin she always has my back. I would also love to shout out my best friends of many years, Lerato, Julissa, and Treyvon. Ive spent countless days stressing over my career and they have been nothing short of supportive. Lastly, my girls, Steven, angel and all my other, very dope and supportive friends and family. Without you guys, this journey would have been 10 times harder. Thank you all so much!
