We had the good fortune of connecting with Austyn Seitz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Austyn, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
When I started my photography business, my goal was always to make a positive difference in the lives of my clients. Whether it is a mini-session or the wedding of their dreams, I want to make a lasting impact on their life and memories. One of the ways I do this is to increase their self-confidence by allowing them to see themselves the way others see them. People tend to think they never look good in pictures, but when they can see themselves through the lens of my camera, it changes how they feel about themselves.
My first priority is to ensure clients know they are getting the best client experience with me, and this is seen in the way I engage in conversation with them. Clients have constantly raved about how it immediately felt like they were talking to a friend they had known for years! This is my goal, because clients feel more relaxed when they are comfortable in front of the photographer. In the time leading up to a session, I am in constant contact with them, finding out what they want out of their session, sending them inspiration and ideas, answering questions, and just getting to know them! When we get to the session, the experience is full of positive encouragements about how great they look, letting them know that I love how they already know what to do without me telling them, raving about the lighting, and sharing my excitement about how BEAUTIFUL the pictures are going to turn out! I also love showing sneak peeks during the session to get the clients excited about what they will see in their final gallery. By doing all of this, clients start to see themselves through the eyes of others in the world which is beautiful and worthy! When the
My reviews constantly reflect the positive experience the client had with me. The legacy I want is for people to leave their time with me knowing that they had a positive experience. I want them to feel comfortable, have fun, and see themselves the way I do through the lens of my camera.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Many people can click the button on a camera and edit pictures, but what sets me apart is the experience clients have with me! This client experience starts when you first reach out to me, and continues until you receive your photo gallery. I love sharing in the smiles and compliments people give you about how great you look! I have had a lot of growth since just starting out in March of 2020, and I cannot wait to see what the year of 2022 brings for my business!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family for supporting my journey as a photographer, and my photography mentor Mackenzie Cox!
