We had the good fortune of connecting with Arnelia Valdez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Arnelia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Our thought process behind starting our own business was to share our joy of creating with the world. When we first began WhoBetta Prints & Creations, we had no idea how to operate a business. All we knew was we wanted to create products that our customers would love and cherish forever. We started this business on faith that if we worked hard and believed in our products, our business would succeed beyond our expectations.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets us apart is that we don’t just make custom shirts or party favors. We create custom favors that our customers will love and share with the world forever. We put love and glam into every product we create.

We are most excited about the many things we are adding to our product line. We knew we would add more products when we started our business because we knew we had a lot to share with the world.

Honestly, we got to where we are because we have strong faith. Starting a business is easy; continuing the business is not. With the typical challenges of running a business and the added stress of life’s unfortunate circumstances, you could easily want to give up. But the same faith that encouraged us to start the business is the same faith that kept our business going. We’ve faced many challenges; there were times when we did not have any orders coming, and then there were times when we had an overflow of orders. No matter what, we continued to push through.

Our business and our brand are built on faith. I want every entrepreneur to know that you may not be where you want to be in business, but you are exactly where God needs you to be.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We were born and raised in Atlanta, so everything about Atlanta is fun and exciting. On Monday, we would eat at Tassili’s Raw Cafe’; we don’t eat meat, but the food is excellent and healthy for every diet. Then we would go to Juniper Cafe for drinks; I love their sake. We would hang out at Ponce City Market to finish the evening; I love the rooftop view.
On Tuesday, we would go to The Works Atl on Chattahoochee Ave. Here we can shop, eat, and get bubble tea. The Works usually have events as well.
On Wednesday, we would go to Phipps Plaza for a shopping experience and eat at Herban Fix.
On Thursday, we would go to Gregory’s Atlanta Vegan Breakfast; everything on the menu is delicious. Then we would go downtown to the National Center for Civil Human Rights. I love the history and experience you receive here. While downtown, we can visit some other great places in Atlanta like the World of Coca Cola and the aquarium.
On Friday, we would go to Slutty Vegan on Ralph David and then to Six Flags or White Waters, depending on the weather.
On Saturday, we would go to a few pop-up shops around the city to support other small business owners and end the evening with drinks at Nouveau Bar in College Park.
Hopefully, I will be taking my friend to Atlanta Hartsfield Airport on Sunday because I will be tired.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Our family is a significant factor in our success; they have always found ways to support us; whether buying products or shouting us out on social media, they have always supported us.
